‘A Place to Meet’

Somewhere between Europe and Asia, two worlds found a place to meet.
Kwin and Panji’s story began far from Istanbul with a chance meeting in Geneva, a friendship that slowly became something more, and years of choosing each other across distance, different lives and different worlds.

When it came time to get married, they weren’t looking for a way to merge everything into one. They wanted their Hindu-Sikh, Muslim, Punjabi and Javanese traditions to stand beside one another, each retaining its own meaning. And perhaps that is why Istanbul felt so right.

A city built between two continents became the setting for a wedding that was never really about finding differences, but about finding common ground. There was Punjabi verses and the azaan drifting across the Bosphorus. Turkish drummers, Indonesian traditions, family blessings, and rituals thoughtfully reimagined to speak to two people rather than divide them into two sides. Nothing was forced to fit. It simply belonged. And somewhere between the old stone walls of Istanbul, the rain over the Bosphorus and two families coming together, Kwin and Panji created something that felt less like a wedding between two cultures, and more like a life already beginning to make room for both.

A beautiful reminder that sometimes love doesn’t ask us to meet halfway. It simply gives us a place to meet. 🫶🏽 by @clad.clad

#CladCeremonials For Saher’s big day, CLAD and she zeroed in on an ethereal bespoke Manish Malhotra couture lehenga, customized exactly to Saher’s tastes. Tailored from an unusual sage green fabric, the lehenga was encrusted with crystals and pearls, featuring dainty pearl tassels, intricate embroidery, a dupatta and a custom-made veil for the bride. The ends of the veil were embroidered with the concluding words from Saher’s vows to Quinn: “In This World and The Hereafter.”

The bride’s jewellery was kept complementary to the pastel lehenga, featuring large green stones, and simple but bold shapes that let the outfit shine.

Quinn’s ivory sherwani was handcrafted from raw silk, with a subtle geometric pattern that paid homage to the Rabari tribes of Gujarat, as well as Chikankari embroidery from Lucknow. A pocket square and shawl completed the groom’s look. Their beloved dog, Knox played ringbearer, with his very own custom bandana made from the same fabric as Quinn’s sherwani 🕊️

#CladCeremonials After a wedding that was nothing less than poetry, Saher and Quinn slipped into decidedly glamorous attire for their reception, that was inspired by old Hollywood glamour.

Styled by CLAD. Saher donned an ivory Gaurav Gupta couture gown, adorned with strings of pearls and jewels that were both ‘20s flapper inspired, yet also incredibly sleek and modern in its silhouette, while Quinn, in perfect contrast, wore a sharp ikat jacquard Ralph Lauren tuxedo. Every element of the couple’s outfit was intentional, flaunting the transcontinental cultures that collided when they fell in love.

Saher and Quinn ambled through the bride’s hometown for the first time as husband and wife before the reception, which was held at the Brooklyn-coded The Press Room 🕊️

#CladCeremonials For Saher and Quinn, love began eight years ago with a sheepish question on the first date, and the hope that feelings might be mutual. Holding each other through the highs and lows of life, Saher and Quinn found home in the cities New York and Washington D.C. So, it felt like serendipity when the venue of their wedding, the historic East Tennessee marble quarry that they decided to get married in near the bride’s house supplied the marble used in New York Public Library and the National Gallery of Art in D.C., places that played a key role in their years-long love story.

Saher and Quinn chose to celebrate their union in ways that felt authentic to them, starting with a private exchange of vows atop a cliff, with nobody else around. Then, they held a nikah ceremony translated by Quinn’s sister, and a non-denominational one by Saher’s sister.

Eschewing traditional reds, CLAD styled the bride in a custom pistachio-green lehenga by Manish Malhotra that perfectly matched the muted hues of the quarry and the floral arbor, while Quinn wore an Ivory sherwani by Divyam Mehta, which featured delicate chikankari embroidery and patterns inspired by the indigenous handicrafts of India.

Among melodies by Prince, Om Shanti Om, butterflies, and bald eagles circling the wedding, Quinn and Saher became man and wife 🕊️

Shivani & Viman’s Sangeet ❤️‍🔥 // featured in @voguemagazine @vogueweddings

One Sunday morning, Gaurav Gupta opened his store especially for Shivani and Viman for a wedding appointment, and the result was pure sartorial magic. The couple’s impending Sangeet was inspired by the carnival, and Gaurav Gupta’s shimmering creations were an absolute must. CLAD decided to style not only the couple, but also their entire families in bespoke Gaurav Gupta couture. However, it was the bride’s striking scarlet lehenga that was the pièce de résistance of the event. Shivani said the lehenga was “something I never would have chosen for myself without Tanya’s encouragement. She saw my personality in it before I did, and when I finally put it on, I understood exactly why.” Combining the paradoxes of sculpture and fluidity as Gaurav Gupta does, the couturier created the waterfall-style lehenga especially for her – an ensemble he loved so much that he added it to his next bridal showing.

The groom and the men of the family got the velvet treatment, with Viman donning a classic velvet bandhgala, also by the designer. Shivani’s father and brother looked dapper in velvet double breasted suits. GG saris, predraped, were the choice of couture for the bride’s mother and sisters. While her mother glowed in a nude-hued sari that was a confection of pearls and organza, the sisters glittered in jewel tones of blue and green.

“It became one of my favourite looks from the entire weekend,” said Shivani about her Sangeet look. “Tanya’s ability to push me outside of my comfort zone while still making sure I felt like myself is something I’ll always appreciate.”

Shivani & Viman’s Haldi // featured in @voguemagazine @vogueweddings 💫

East met west, truly, in Shivani and Viman’s Haldi ceremony, which was kept traditional yet authentic to mirror the bride and groom’s sensibilities. Usually synonymous with golds and yellows, Shivani and Viman chose to make it a day of full of rose petals and laughter, and we wanted this lightness to reflect in their outfits.

CLAD styled Shivani in a bespoke Anamika Khanna ivory sharara that was sprinkled with gold and multihued zardozi patchwork, and her mother wore a custom Anamika Khanna outfit, too. The groom sported an airy linen bandhgala in complementary beige by Kunal Rawal, an ivory stole wrapping up the look flawlessly. CLAD also styled Shivani’s sisters and brother in Kunal Rawal, Mishru, and Torani. Since the couple were in neutrals, their family wore dainty pastel shades of mint green, pink, and lilac, and guests were advised to wear yellow and orange for that perfect haldi snap. “I wanted my wedding looks to feel unique, intentional, and deeply personal. Each outfit had to stand out yet flow harmoniously across the multiple events. More than that, I wanted my wardrobe to celebrate my Indian heritage while incorporating my personal style in a way that felt fresh, elegant, and authentic to me. Tanya understood this immediately, and she not only brought my ideas to life, but she expanded them in ways I never could have imagined,” said Shivani.

Shivani & Viman’s beautiful wedding in Morocco featured in @voguemagazine @vogueweddings 🕊️

A chance meeting in a dive bar, a magical night in New York, and a St. Tropez engagement set to the tune of “Marry You” by Bruno Mars – Shivani and Viman’s whirlwind love story is one for the books. Naturally, their wedding had to be one that belonged in a fairytale, and CLAD styled the Marrakech nuptials not only for the couple, but also their parents, grandparents, siblings, and the entire bridal and groom’s parties.

Being around family is important to Shivani (they even secretly flew in for the proposal!) and we helped create and curate a wedding wardrobe that reflected what was close to the bride’s heart. Tanya exclusively got Tarun Tahiliani and Gaurav Gupta on board to create wedding and sangeet looks that honoured both heritage and individuality for a cohesive look for the couple and their loved ones. Every outfit was styled virtually, with the help of muslin fits and online consults. “Having my entire family styled by CLAD elevated the entire wedding aesthetic to a new level,” said Shivani. “Tanya extended that same level of care to every family member. From the colors to the embroidery, every look felt intentional. The team handled every logistical challenge with absolute precision. They coordinated measurements, fittings, and deliveries across multiple time zones, ensuring that every outfit from mine to my family’s was perfectly executed.”

Kamya x Samay

Love has no boundaries. Neither do wedding dreams. Samay and Kamya dreamt that their wedding will bring together their most loved ones to Barcelona, a city they fell head over heels for. The vibe, the Spanish guitar, the bustle of Boqueria market, the sharp thuds of flamenco, the unbelievable energy of Tapas bars, the secret spots- this is all they wanted their wedding to reflect and their vision came unbelievably true. Amidst family and chosen family, they celebrated and danced for 3 days and we were lucky to be there. So much more to come, so much more to say about Samay and Kamya, so much love to share with this world.

Annie & Ricky’s beautiful wedding featured in @vogueindia ✨

𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞, 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐊𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬

A bride and wedding that is so special and close to our hearts! Our mutual love for @anamikakhanna.in & @milighosh brought us together for the most unique collaboration and one of the most memorable styling experiences. Annie’s vision was clear; she wanted six distinct couture outfits, each reflecting a different style and mood and all to be designed by Anamika Khanna. Anamika sketched and sampled designs that ranged from her signature tribal patchwork, delicate pearl and thread work, to traditional gold resham and zardozi embroidery, all in different silhouettes and colours. We referenced a lot of Anamika’s archival pieces dating back over ten years, reinterpreted with silhouettes and embroidery techniques that felt modern and exquisite.

“Working with Tanya and her team was the best decision I made during my wedding planning. Tanya understood my vision and worked tirelessly to achieve it. She took note of every minute detail that I wanted to incorporate in my outfits and successfully spearheaded the entire designing process. She is calm, patient and receptive to feedback-qualities I think are crucial when it comes to designing and styling bridal looks. I underestimated how much peace of mind this instilled, knowing that there’s someone so talented and professional taking care of crafting my wedding outfits. In Tanya, I found someone with shared taste in fashion, but more importantly, I found a friend who walked me seamlessly through an otherwise anxious and nerve-racking journey. We were able to create absolute masterpieces, heirlooms that I will value and celebrate forever.” Annie Shergill

I have always felt more tuned with a camera at night. Yet it is rare to find a wedding that steps into the night so perfectly.
At Sant Marçal, Kamya @kamiyaah and Samay’s day had already moved through its spectrum. The brass band baraat, the vibrant florals, the castle revealing its ancient stone. But then the musical pheras began while the agni rose, calling upon the divine witnesses who gathered in the sky.
There is a reason the ancient texts include a hymn to Ratri, the goddess of night. She arrives only when the sun has said everything it has to say, cooling the air and shifting our sight from the earthly to the eternal. Under her watch the flowers open differently, releasing what they withheld all day. The constellations appear one by one to form a destiny. And the Agni becomes saakshi, the sacred fire, the only light and the truest witness before whom nothing false can stand.
In that divine darkness that night.. the senses heightened, the scent of florals deepened, the music entered the mind, body and soul while Kamya and Samay circled the fire, in what felt like a divine nod. Photo team @milighosh @teslaman76 and @nikkisiennaproduction

Kalpavriksha, the sacred tree of our myths, is said to join root to cosmos, ancestry to blessing. In Santa Ynez, a 150-year-old oak stood @gaineyvineyard with that same quiet power, and for Rajvi @rajvi.bhatt and Vipul @notoriousv.i.p it became their temple, a silent witness to their vows.

“We didn’t choose the vineyard so much as search for the perfect tree,” Rajvi told me. “Did I hug the tree? Yes.” And I believe it embraced her back.

Rajvi and Neha @bluelotusinsights shaped a vision threaded with inheritance. “We wanted our wedding to balance feeling and legacy just as much as the look. My father named me Rajvi which means princess, after himself, Rajan, means king. I always knew I wanted to embody that in some way on my wedding day.” I drew inspiration from Maharani Gayatri Devi’s elegant, pared-back style. Tanya @clad.clad and I worked with Kshitij Jalori to create a delicate pink saree paired with a dramatic veil embroidered with my late grandmother’s handwritten blessing, “mari vhali Rajvi.” It was my way of carrying her with me.

Tanya @clad.clad shaped these looks into fashion poetry. @saltspellbeauty brought the beauty vision to life. My personal favorite was her Haldi saree with Rajvi in Chandan bindi, which had echoes of a heroine from a vintage Bengali movie. I remembered Tabu in namesake to carry that frame. Neha Shah, @bluelotusinsights set the scene where culture and landscape spoke as one with @ensocreativeteam layering blossoms in beautiful hues across aisles and crowning the great oak, the artisanal chairs also grounded the gathering in humility and grace.

Rajvi and Vipul's wedding carried the echo of cinema, almost invisible to those living it, but undeniable to me. For me, this was the cinema of inheritance. Under the oak, the wedding breathed like Monsoon Wedding’s closing frame.. vivid, timeless, rooted. Rajvi’s veil in the wind, her sarees moving like chapters, psudo and ruby wandering freely.. it was all there unfolding. This was the legacy of Rajvi and Vipuls Kalpavriksha ceremony rooted, alive, and eternal. Photos by Mili Ghosh & Sid Ghosh @teslaman76 by @clad.clad

Persistence. Fireworks. Force. You.

She wished, she waited, she willed... and he came...
A love written not in lightning, but in the steady rhythm of roots and rain...
Their voices, like echoes on an old radio, tell a story of two souls folding into each other...
not in spectacle, but in stillness....
Not in noise, but in the quiet power of belonging....

Mehar and Juan.
