🍂 FALL BREAK = TIME TO RESET! 🧠✨

The past few weeks have been BUSY for our SAAC members! From supporting our teams and balancing academics to serving and engaging with the Orangeburg community, we’ve been on the move. 🐾

As we head into Fall Break, we’re making it a priority to maximize our mental health by taking time to rest, recharge, reflect, and reset. 🧡 by @claflin.saac

“Service is the rent that we pay for the space that we occupy here on this earth.” — Shirley Chisholm

On our day off of the court Claflin and South Carolina State Volleyball came together for our community. Between us, we collected 333 boxes of diapers, with 104 donated by the Claflin community.

Together, we donated to DAZZ Orangeburg, which supports women and families with pregnancy services and baby essentials. Claflin Volleyball also donated to Pecan Grove Child Development Center, whose caring staff show up for children and parents when in need with a true village spirit, and Family Solutions, which supports local families and works to improve maternal health and reduce infant mortality in our community.

Thank you to the gamma chi chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, inc. @gammachideltas 🔺; the Gamma Nu chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. 👌🏾 @gn_nupes ; Claflin Athletics @claflin_athletics 🐾 ; and everyone in the community who donated diapers and wipes 🌎

Your generosity made this possible.

We’re grateful to the coaches and student-athletes at South Carolina State @scstatewvb for joining us in this effort. We compete on the court, but we share a commitment to the people and families in our community. 🧡🐾💙🐶 by @claflin.saac

Claflin SAAC represented with excellence at the CIAA SAAC Leadership Symposium during the 2026 CIAA Basketball Tournament in Baltimore, Maryland. Growing as leaders, strengthening our voice, and bringing valuable insight back to our campus.
Throughout the symposium, our student athlete leaders engaged in meaningful conversations, participated in professional development sessions, and collaborated with peers from across the conference to strengthen the voice of the student-athlete. The experience provided valuable insight on leadership, advocacy, community engagement, and how we can continue to enhance the student-athlete experience on our campus and throughout the CIAA.
We are grateful for the opportunity to grow, connect, and bring back ideas that will positively impact Claflin University. A special thank you to the CIAA for hosting such an empowering and impactful event and for your continued commitment to developing student-athlete leaders.🧡 🐾#CIAAforLife by @claflin.saac
