Another page from my art journals - and this one asks a question I still don’t have the answer to.

“Trust your heart”

I go back and forth on this one constantly. My head’s usually the sensible one, running through the logic and weighing everything up. But it’s my heart that’s normally right in the end, even when it takes the long way round to prove it.

Do you trust your head first or your heart?

So here’s the big reveal of the little project I teased you about yesterday! 💜

Mixed Media Magnets with Mighty Messages!

Small but perfectly formed, these little 10cm x 10cm pieces of original art each have their own uplifting message to make someone smile.

Only eight in this little collection, and every one is completely unique!

Affordable, one-of-a-kind gifts, perfect for popping in the post, slipping into a Christmas stocking or simply treating yourself!

They’re all packed and coming with me to Artworks at Chobham Festival today, so do pop along and have a look! 💜

A little mixed media project I’ve been working on especially for Artworks at Chobham Festival tomorrow! 💜

Lots of painting, cutting, sticking and playing around with colours and textures to create something a little different!

I’m not revealing the finished work just yet (some of them are still drying!) but I can tell you they’re miniature pieces of original art, each with a little uplifting message to make someone smile.

They’ll be very affordable too - perfect if you fancy treating yourself to a little piece of original art or you’re looking for a unique gift or stocking filler.

I’ll share the finished collection tomorrow, but for now, here’s a little peek behind the scenes!

Hope to see some of you in Chobham tomorrow! 💜

I’m really looking forward to exhibiting again at this years Artworks event at Chobham Village Hall tomorrow!

If you’re looking for something a little bit different, do pop along. There will be some wonderfully talented artists and makers showcasing their work - I can promise you this is no ordinary craft fair!

Beautiful, original, quality pieces, all lovingly created. Perfect for getting ahead with a bit of Christmas shopping (yes, I said it!) or simply treating yourself to something lovely and unique.

I’ll be there with a selection of my paintings and miniature creations, so please come and say hello. I’d love to see you!

And even if you’re not shopping, it’s a lovely opportunity to come and admire some fabulous local talent and support small creative local businesses. 💜

💜 Thoughtful Thursday 💜

Sometimes in life, what once felt right just doesn’t anymore.

And that’s okay.

We’re all allowed to change our minds, take a different path, try something new or simply start again.

Life isn’t always straightforward and we never really know what someone else has been through or what has led them to where they are today.

A little less judgement, a little more understanding. After all, we’re all just finding our own way.

And sometimes a fresh start is exactly what’s needed. 💜

The second painting I created at my wonderful workshop with Gaye Clear a few of weeks ago. 💜

I can’t put into words how much I’m loving this journey. There’s still so much I want to learn, so much I want to try and so many paintings I can’t wait to create! Just need a few more hours in every day!! Don’t we all!

This one’s called After the Storm. 💜

Some days I’m desperate to paint or draw but the motivation or inspiration just aren’t there. This journal spread was me trying to talk myself into starting anyway.

So glad that my latest “happy post” arrived safely this week 💜

I’m honestly so touched with every like, share, repost and comment that I receive. Social media often gets a bad press BUT it is today’s marketing platform for all businesses - even those with hefty marketing and advertising budgets. I don’t have either 🥴 so engaging on my insta and FB accounts makes a big difference.

Thank you to ALL my cheerleaders 💜

This time next week, I’ll be joining many other local artists and creatives at Artworks in Chobham.

So happy to have been invited back again to be part of the annual Chobham festival.

I will be bringing all these pieces and more - perfect for unique stocking fillers or one of a kind Secret Santa gifts if you’re sensibly prepping for December.

All of the artists and creators have been selected by invite only ensuring that a wealth of talent will be on display - they’re a very lovely bunch too - you won’t be disappointed.

So if you’re free on Saturday 17th October pop down to Chobham Village Hall and say hi!!
