Sound on for this one…

An Absence is a two minute short film dedicated to the poetry of Mark Prime, colleague and friend of @favcolblk

Sadly, Mark passed away in 2023.

The poem tells of an enforced separation from the simple freedoms of life, and is paired with images of a long-abandoned and now demolished hospital, its ghost resurrected through the use of ai.

Chris and writer Mark Prime worked together in commercials for years before beginning to explore experimental film during the pandemic, pairing Chris’ visuals with Mark’s poetry.

With thanks to Judith Prime

I’m running 62 miles over the month of March for Diabetes UK because, well… I have type 1 diabetes, and it’s my birthday in March - so what better way to celebrate 15 years with diabetes than by making my pancreas feel even more useless than usual?

Please donate to this amazing charity… running is hard, having diabetes is harder and these guys do a great job of supporting people like me with their amazing work.

Wish me luck - running is a lot for someone whose blood sugar drops faster than my enthusiasm at the 6.2-minute mark. #diabetesuk #teamduk #diabetes62milesinmarch # WITH LOVE ❤️ AND GRATITUDE 🙏 ALWAYS 💫 by @claireluka

💥 New work 💥

Fear Keeps Us Alive released today by @gazelletwin and @invadarecords directed by @favcolblk

The fear in ‘Fear Keeps Us Alive’, says Gazelle Twin, is a “daily, constant, almost mundane common fear among women. I have often connected this lifelong feeling to the sense of a ghostly male presence that lurks in my dreams. Women are (and always have been) constantly haunted by the potential of being harmed.”

The video harnesses the haunting, omni-present qualities of CCTV. Shot on old format DV and Hi-8 cameras to create a detached, coldly voyeuristic point of view,

It shares DNA with our short film… Saint Maria’s Way. The film explores the same themes as ‘Fear Keeps Us Alive’, using CCTV to reconstruct the final journey of a missing woman. Coming soon! Watch this space!

SONIC DL™ “LIFE-SPEED IMAGING”

From director Favourite Colour: Black

The conceptual launch film for SONIC DL™ -- showcases the software which uses deep learning to accelerate MR scanning times to match the speed of the human body.

To represent this concept, the team captured the tracking data of live choreography and processed this in real-time through creative and generative filters, which were then projected back onto the dancer and his environment.

💥 All in-camera effects, no post or CG 💥
