Strategic social media, copywriting & Meta ads for property brands.
Marketing shaped by how people actually choose.
NEW! Book a Fresh Eyes Session šŸ‘€
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It’s my one-year anniversary this month and to celebrate, I’ve taken a few days away this week to step back and think about my business, where I want to take it in year 2 - and what sort of marketing I believe in.

I’ve been thinking about marketing, not in terms of chasing algorithms or trends - but a much bigger question rooted in customer psychology: why do people actually choose one business over another? What draws us towards a particular brand (or not!)?

I’ve been sketching out something I’m calling the Fresh Eyes framework while I’m here - I’m bringing an analogue mindset to the digital world, helping you see your marketing with fresh eyes.

ā€˜I’ve tried ads but they don’t work.’
I hear this all the time… and 9 times out of 10, what people really mean is: they boosted a post.

Boosting gives you quick visibility - but hardly any control. Ads Manager gives you targeting, testing and real results.

If you’re serious about growth, don’t waste your budget on boosts.

DM me ā€˜ads’ and I’ll show you how to run campaigns that actually work.

Hi šŸ‘‹ I’m Claire and I work with business owners and brands on strategic, intentional marketing. If you’re looking for a partner to help with social media strategy, content days, copywriting or Meta Ads, I’m your gal.

There’s a lot of pressure on businesses to be louder, faster and everywhere at once. But in my experience, the brands that are excelling aren’t necessarily doing more.

Instead?
They’re focused. On what they’re saying. On who they’re saying it to. And on where those people actually are.

That’s the approach I bring to all my clients. I’m your strategic partner and my role is to help you answer those questions and talk to your customers effectively. I’ll show you how social content, copy and paid ads can work together to support your business.

If you’re heading into 2026 wanting marketing that feels more strategic and less exhausting, you’re in the right place.

The most popular topic at my recent tech in property workshop won’t surprise you – BUT it’s not quite what it seems.

AI.

A relaxed round table of local business owners, planners and architects, talking about how tech can help us grow and run our businesses. We covered the ethics, the risks and rewards, what the new AI labelling rules actually mean, and how to stand out in a feed that’s full of it.

Then we went deeper: showing up in AI search, how social and SEO connect, and using AI as an employee in your business.

The big takeaway? Be authentic, messy and HUMAN. Use AI for the efficiencies, the data and the research that only big-budget brands could access before – not to replace your voice.

Humans buy from humans, and there ain’t no robot that can build a real relationship like you can.

I’m going into this in more detail in this week’s newsletter. Sign up (link in bio) and I’ll send it straight to your inbox!

Already a week since our workshop looking at leveraging tech in property marketing. Dean and I are thrilled about how it went. Thanks to all who attended and to Isabella for joining our panel.

My mind is still buzzing away with all the topics that were raised. From questions and concerns about AI, how and why (and whether!) to incorporate it into your socials and business planning, changes in SEO and GEO, the very real sense of overwhelm that small businesses feel in the face of so many tech advances.

I’m on a short holiday this week but can’t wait to share some of the insights and advice we discussed.

Instagram’s just rolled out a new feature, and I think you’re going to love it. As of this week, you can create carousels within the Edits app.

I’m excited about this one because it’s going to make creating content so much easier. No more faffing about with different apps for different posts-now you can create reels, stories and carousels, and post them direct to your account (or save and schedule for later).

So, what do you need to do?
Simply go to the Edits app, click on the + and get creating. Keep swiping to see how to add the feature if you can’t see it yet.

Don’t forget, you can combine video and images in one carousel (thanks to another Insta update this year!).

If you can’t find carousels in Edits, simply go to settings, then Labs…

And then toggle on the carousels feature. And thats’s it!

Let me know how you get on!

Had a great day yesterday co-hosting a round table event at the NatWest Accelerator Hub!

Thanks to everyone who joined us - we hope you found the session interesting! What I loved the most was attendees answering each other’s questions about using tech in property marketing, and sharing their experiences and challenges.

It’s exactly what Dean and I hoped for-an informal and friendly discussion that helps everyone who came along.

We’re hoping to make this a regular session-so keep your eyes open for future dates!

Thanks too to Isabella who joined us to chat about all things photography and video.

Here are some of the questions I’ve been asked in the last few weeks. Six questions, six different conversations-but all with the same worries coming through.

Am I promoting my business in the right places? Do I sound like anyone worth choosing? Am I being left behind?

How people find you, and why they choose you, has changed drastically. A lot of advice hasn’t caught up-and that could be costing you clients.

That’s exactly the sort of conversation I’ll be having at our round table event for property brands on 8th Sept. Join me, Dean Lewis (That Space) and Isabella Liddle (photographer and videographer) for a free informal session on using tech to gain more clients. Link in bio! by @clairescottsocials

Cardiff property businesses! Fancy a FREE workshop and round table event with 3 digital experts?

Join us 0n 8th Sept for practical marketing & tech ideas to reach and win more of the right customers.

Most property marketing still asks people to imagine. A floor plan, a handful of photos, maybe a video walkthrough if you’re lucky, and then it’s over to the customer to picture the rest themselves. That’s a lot to ask of someone making one of the biggest decisions of their life.

This is a relaxed round table, not a lecture, bringing together three people who spend their working lives closing that gap in different ways - an hour and a half to pick their brains, question their thinking, and steal whatever’s useful, free of charge.

Because the truth is, most property brands are still marketing the way they did five years ago, while the people they’re trying to reach have moved on. If your marketing looks and sounds like everyone else’s, you’re leaving the decision down to chance rather than giving your customer a reason to say yes. by @clairescottsocials

Property brand looking for a quick way to improve your marketing?

I’ve written a free guide for property and design brands who are investing in marketing but aren’t seeing the enquiries to match.

I’ll walk you through five of the most common reasons good marketing stops converting.

Things like the importance of visuals that match your prices, of understanding exactly who your customer is, and making it really clear why they should choose you over another brand.

Each sign comes with a practical ā€œwhat to do insteadā€ tip you can put into action straight away.

It’s a jargon free, easy-to-read guide to help you identify how to improve your marketing.

Reposting this because it’s something I see way too often in property posts and reels. Please believe me when I say that if your visuals don’t match your price point, people switch off before they’ve read a word.

It could be stock imagery standing in for the real thing. Or flash photography making something look cheaper than it actually is. Or AI generated images that make your audience cringe.

Quick fixes:
šŸ’” Natural light, always. Flash and dark indoor lighting age everything by about a decade.ā€ØšŸ’” Use stock sparingly - one recognisable stock photo (or obviously AI generated image!) does more damage to trust than a slightly imperfect real one.ā€ØšŸ’” Think about what would actually stop the scroll. Behind the scenes, quick edits, drone shots - whatever your competitors aren’t doing yet.ā€ØšŸ’” If your bank of images needs a proper overhaul, that’s exactly what a content shoot sorts in an afternoon.

This is one of the 5 most common mistakes I see in property brands. My free guide covers all five, plus what to do about each one. Download it for free - link in bio! by @clairescottsocials
