The thrill of the hunt strikes again.

These Southern Living Richmond Estate plates have been compared to the iconic Ginori look, but they’re sold exclusively through Dillard’s and can be surprisingly hard to find in stores. When I found one, I knew it was coming home with me. 💙

As much as I love designer inspiration, I love a beautiful look-for-less even more.

Headed out fabric shopping for a client today, and every single thing I’m wearing is thrifted.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that style isn’t about spending more—it’s about having an eye for quality, color, texture, and knowing what works together.

The same skills that help me create beautiful spaces for clients also help me create outfits I love without paying retail.

A well-designed home and a well-styled wardrobe have a lot in common: neither requires the most expensive option.

I’ve had these eight 24x24 framed pieces sitting in my house waiting for the perfect spot. I purchased the 8 x 10 single prints 1 at a time when they went on sale over a period of a few years and used some Amazon frames to frame them.

That was years ago.

I’m thinking the staircase wall may finally be their resting place.

The artwork is by Marianne Angeli Rodriguez, an artist from Covington, Louisiana. Her artwork is known for its vibrant color, global influences, and joyful energy.

Every time I look at these pieces, they make me happy and since that’s the case- it shouldn’t be this hard.

But IT IS.

Summertime usually gets my projects moving and I’m thinking this may be my first step this summer. I just need my hand held, I think.

You know what sounds absolutely terrible today?
Laundry.
Mopping.
Cleaning out that one drawer in the kitchen that has absolutely no purpose anymore.

So naturally… I went to the Guild Shop in Houston to “just look.” 🤍

And honestly, I regret nothing.

Because apparently looking at blue and white porcelain, oversized ginger jars, and things I absolutely do not need is now part of my self-care routine.

At this point in life, I’ve accepted that I’m probably never going to be the woman who deep cleans her house for fun… but I AM the woman who can spot a beautiful vintage piece from across the room.

How did we get here so fast? 🤍

From little boy moments to graduation and now celebrating your first real job… watching Jackson grow into this young man has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

There were seasons that felt long while we were living them, and now somehow they all feel like they passed in the blink of an eye.

Sometimes I am shocked at what finds my basket when I’m out thrifting. This tray snuck right in as I was contemplating leaving the store empty handed.

GASP.

Turns out, it came home with me.

It hasn’t found its permanent spot just yet, but I’m certain it will make it around the house in several spaces.

I don’t often talk to trays, but this one, thankfully…is a smart tray.
