A few of my favorite frames from “The Captain” I loved shooting this film with the talented @reelasdirt in my home state of Maine. The film is playing on the Yeti Film tour which is happening now, give it a watch if you can, it should be available online later in the year as well. Of the 5000 commercial lobstermen only 4% are female. The Boy From Medellin is now available on Amazon prime! This film was a big undertaking I’m very grateful that (super talented) director @mheineman trusted me to capture the concert and other special moments throughout our trip down to Medellin. Shot alongside the talented @drewalandaniels and @maxpreiss who handled the Verite moments beautifully. The crew on this was outstanding! So grateful to @orlandoduguay with his beautiful, smooth and intuitive steadicam work, @joe.arcidiacono_dp , @laura.hudock and @smashwerksfilms ,talented DP’s who came down to camera operate as well and made us all look good 🙏🏻 1st AC’s @graham.deneen , @ipullfocus and @jeffreytaylor1 who kept the whole thing running smoothly and oversaw the huge logistical challenges with getting 14 Sony Venice’s, an insane amount of media and full frame glass, I can’t overstate how good these folks are, Graham I’d have been lost without you! Our local crew was incredible, I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot of folks but our gaffer @javier1chaves and BBE @anita.garzon were outstanding, our Key Grip @elinarcogaray constantly impressed me and made it all come together while keeping everyone safe. Our talented local camera assistants, and operators blew me away as well. @angellofaccini @davidcurto @santiagocormane @santiduran182 @civanamaya @campu_andres Our producers Joedan Okun, Miles Estey and @jennavive88 were incredible and the support from our local producers and production co was nothing short of amazing @danielacortesf @juliflorez84 🙏🏻 all star multi talented @metawar2702 deserves a special mention as well, editing, camera operating and doing it all. One of my favorite aspects of making films is the collaboration, everyone bringing their voice to a project and leaving their touch on it in service of making the best film. Everyone who worked on Everest: The Other Side brought their best, and it shows in the final film. The logistics and producing involved with filming expeditions on the north face of Everest, the effort and physicality of working at high altitude for long periods, the athleticism, strength and heart of Jim, and Hilaree, the work of the Sherpas and high altitude team who supported them are all monumental achievements in their own right. For the film team on the mountain we had to bring our “A” game every day even while struggling to catch a breath in the middle of a blizzard at 18,000’. There was no chance for a second take on any of this and I think the film is better for it. This film was the most challenging project I’ve ever been a part of, physically, mentally and emotionally and it wouldn’t have been possible without such a strong, caring, team who all brought their best. From the production office, to the expedition crew, to post production, I can’t imagine this film with a different group of people. Grateful for the love, support, and holding down the fort back home @taashaaaa88 while away on these long trips, love you! Very proud and thankful to have been a part of this crew and excited for people to see it. Everest: The Other Side opens in theatres and IMAX on October 30th. by @clairpopkin

Europe, June / July 2025 First frames are Kodak Portra 120 last few are 35mm. I shot 20 rolls of film on this trip and it’s a task to narrow down my selects. It was great to get back to basics and only shoot film- I find it makes me think more before taking a picture, and every photo has a bit more intention behind it. taken in Nice, France by @clairpopkin

Last shoot of 2024 was a fun one for DMF lighting. So nice to have a project where the subject is basically beautiful lighting fixtures and beautiful light.
