Perfectly Curated

Living in a perfectly uncurated world.

What is seen is only a moment in a swirl of untold truths.

Maybe that’s the beauty of it, to feel the weight of perception while quietly carrying a truth that exists beyond what can be seen.

There is a space between two worlds: one that rewards appearances, and another that lives beneath the surface, unseen yet endlessly alive. One is measured by recognition; the other by presence. Most drift between them without ever realizing they exist.

Days are often spent chasing what is visible, while the extraordinary waits patiently inside the ordinary.

A butterfly continues to fly with weathered wings. A flower rises through cracked pavement. Nature has never needed perfection to become beautiful.

People carry stories they cannot yet name. Hearts conceal truths that words have not caught up to. Sometimes the deepest parts of a person are visible long before they are understood.

What feels like a burden may, in time, reveal itself as a gift.

To move through a world so captivated by surfaces and still discover wonder beneath them is its own quiet form of grace.

The invitation has never been to escape reality, but to see it differently, to become enchanted by what is already here.

Summer knows this. Its colors arrive without asking for permission: vivid, untamed, impossible to ignore.

The world was never meant to be reduced to black and white.

Look up for just a moment.

The color never left.

Neither did the magic.

It has always been here, waiting inside a world that was never meant to be perfectly curated.

“Accept yourself as you are. And that is the most difficult thing in the world, because it goes against your training, education, your culture. From the very beginning you’ve been told how you should be; Nobody has ever told you that you are good as you are”

There is something so sacred about slowing down enough to truly witness life. To study, paint, and emotionally pour your soul into the quiet beauty we often overlook in our day-to-day existence. The softness of a flower opening toward the sun, the water that gently embraces us, the birds singing into the morning air, the people, food, and earth that nourishes and sustains us.

I admire #claudemonet for choosing stillness day after day, guided by nothing but curiosity and devotion to what was right in front of him. He painted the water not just as it looked, but as it felt. He poured his grief, his presence, and his reverence for simplicity into his work so that, even for a moment, we too could pause long enough to feel peace when standing before it. by @clarabellelemus
