Still enjoying the dahlias, including those orange ones which are the size of side plates. They look so beautiful in sunshine on the kitchen table and I love the long shadows. I took the first pic in Bluristic and added another Bluristic shot of the garden from earlier in the week. Combined in Snapseed.

Who could resist these shadows? It’s a hydrangea bloom from last year in a favourite vase and I came into the room and was captivated by the combo of stark geometric shadows and smudgy hydrangea shapes. I converted it to b&w and took it into Snapseed in search of a soulmate. This was one of those boom occasions when my first choice was to add a crop from a recent acrylic painting in progress, and Overlay mode instantly floated my boat. So here it is.

A bloom from last year’s hydrangea in this favourite perspex vase and her accompanying shadows!

This is a crop from a current acrylic painting. I added some sepia ink which brought out some cool textures but as so often the painting as a whole does not please me (yet?!) by @clare_pistache

I confess. I am a Bluristic addict. The images it’s creating (in Additive mode, which is my fav mode at the moment) barely need an overlay or fusion as they’re so rich in themselves. But this is a fusion group so I’ve added a Bluristic image to an iPhone capture … Read the separate captions as you swipe …

Beautiful silhouettes from @rhswisley. I really liked the organic shapes of these stately trees against the geometric blocks of the visitor building.

Bluristic photo … couldn’t resist these bright green leaves against some autumn berries at the top. Love the sense of movement here by @clare_pistache

First go with multiple captions as inspired by the lovely @debbiemackinnon. Let me know if you like how it turns out!

This is a combo in Snapseed of shadows captured @rhswisley and a tree in Hyde Park shot from the top deck of a number 23. (Not the front row which was disappointingly occupied 😢) The tree was captured in the wonderful Bluristic app. I then used the Film filters in Snapseed and couldn’t decide which I preferred so you’ll see them all here if you scroll and you’re welcome to tell me your preference! This is Kodak Gold 200.

This one is Technicolor. I love the teal and orange look - always a fav combination for me, and I think it suits the time of year as autumn approaches (for some of us)

This is rather gloriously stark and wintry: Agfa Scala 200. Pares the image down nicely

And finally here is Kodak e200, similar to the first but a bit more muted by @clare_pistache

First posting with the Bluristic app. I’m just loving playing with it, having been lured into an addiction by @kateryanfineartphotography. This was an in-phone double exposure - which has taken me a bit of time to get the hang of. Two shots of @jillgoodchild’s garden with her deep pink compact gaura still flowering away. I took one close up and one further away to make this fusion. Love how the house has taken on the impression of the leaves, and the pink and green combo - always a fav.

Well forty years ago today I was lucky enough to marry mr g @gadsbyoliver and we have spent the weekend celebrating in St Ives with the lovely @natgadsby and @gerwynwise. So much fun has been had along the way, and we are so happy to have our three gorgeous boys, and our wonderful daughters- and son-in-law, not to mention the two most adorable grandchildren in the world. Here’s a bit of St Ives photo spam, which has certainly provided a myriad of photo opportunities. It turns out even the postboxes are scenic, and I was thrilled to meet @heathermcalpineart and @5ftinf on duty @tatestives! by @clare_pistache

For this image I used a rather blurred iPhone shot of a blue hour sunset through windows. I was going to delete it because of the camera shake but decided I liked the shapes and I could add to it … the other images are a sunset and a slow shutter capture of a favourite house on a local walk.

Named after a favourite @kateatkinson novel because the title came to me as I was pondering a name for tonight’s offering. I was struck by the light in our kitchen, which was creating reflections in the glass splashback, and shadows, and illuminating the interesting shapes, which include plants (especially my beloved ferny asparagus) and, of course, the washing up brush. So I took an iPhone pic and converted it to b&w, whereupon I noticed a faint cameo from both my grandson and granddaughter, reflections of their photos which are displayed on the opposite wall - you may be able to spot them if you zoom in. I then added in Snapseed a crop of a current work in progress painting. Et voilà.

I shot this beautiful cow parsley with my @lensbabyusa Sol with the little blades out in front of the lens - always enjoy the texture they create - and then converted to b&w. It was fused with shadows through a curtain and some warm light and bokeh sieved through our garden fence.

Here I combined three different images from yesterday’s walk - two slow shutter and one normal iPhone capture. I was attracted by how the vapour trail so neatly echoed the line on the path designed to separate walkers from cyclists. I messed with them quite considerably in Snapseed, turning at least one sideways and zooming in to another.

Cannot resist a wind turbine in the wide open skies of northern France. I have taken many shots of them! Combined this one in Snapseed with a little watercolour I created in my sketchbook while on holiday.

I snapped this tube station façade in London before we came to France, mostly because I liked the gate. I then converted it to highly contrasted b&w in Snapseed and added another of my paintings in progress, which includes some of the wigwam up which our French beans grew before the hot and dry conditions did for them. I made a couple of other images yesterday that I thought I might post, but these days if it doesn’t give my heart a little flutter when the meld occurs, or after a bit of playing with position and opacity, I look for something new.
