POSTS STORIES REELS

To share everywhere, today my second solo novel The Broken Hearts Agency is officially on sale, available wherever books are sold!

The story focuses on Linda Villanueva, a DC-based, psychic private investigator who can sense when people are reeling from heartache and who must also contend w/ a shadowy force threatening her city. Told from several POVs, Broken Hearts Agency is a character-driven mix of mystery, paranormal horror and romance w/ lots of spice, and I'm so ready to talk about the book with everybody. Thank you very, very much for reading. Special shout out to @legacylitbooks and publisher @krishantrotman✨ Excelsior. by @clarenceahaynes

So as some have figured out, my novels The Ghosts of Gwendolyn Montgomery and The Broken Hearts Agency belong to the same literary universe, one I've dubbed "Our Mystical World." (Fan favorite character Fonsi, a beloved medium, appears in both titles.) Folks can read the books in whatever order they prefer as each story stands on its own, feels different in terms of narrative style while maintaining sensual spookiness. Here for any and all questions, thanks so much for reading.✨🌺 by @clarenceahaynes

Considering wkend festivities, thought I'd share image from my back in day modeling portfolio that can be considered a costume pic. Shout out to singer/performer Mya who pulled off chainmail look far better than I did. Happy Halloween-Hoodoo Day everyone. Be safe & thoughtful. ✨️ by @clarenceahaynes

Scenes from Las Vegas Book Festival this past weekend. A very very hearty thank you to organizer extraordinaire @crystalperkinsauthor for having me and bookseller extraordinaire @analogdope for meet and greet at their booth before speculative fiction panel. Wonderful as always to connect with readers and fellow authors. Grateful.✨ by @clarenceahaynes

One thing I find myself asking women in therapy A LOT is a very simple question… BUT did you tell them how you feel? 😂

This is coming up in The Broken Hearts Agency by @clarenceahaynes ❤️‍🔥

Mrs. Bartlett is convinced her husband is cheating. She’s spending money trying to find proof but Linda recognizes she’s lonely and misses her husband.

It reminds me of something we talk about in therapy called bids for connection 🫂 This is the little moments when we reach for our partner’s attention, affection, or reassurance.

But instead of asking for connection we expect our partners to recognize what we need without ever communicating it 😒

✨ Mental Health Gem ✨
Your partner can’t respond to a need you haven’t expressed🤐🤷🏾‍♀️ my mama always says “closed mouths don’t get fed”
