I had a blast at the Grand Prix Plein Air challenge @harmonyarts festival this past weekend!

It was so cool to see so many artists in their element and all the people who came to support.

I signed up for this challenge for a change in scenery and went in with zero expectations, but I’m thrilled to say that I ended up placing 2nd and even sold my painting! I am incredibly honoured that my little painting found a home with @mhartbe who was drawn to it through his love of music, and I can’t wait to go shopping at @opusartsupplies with my 2nd place gift card prize!

This was such a validating experience for me as an artist. All I want to do is create art that resonates with people. Thank you to my friends and family for all your support. I can’t wait to make more paintings for you 🥰💗 by @clarices.studio

Painted from a cold bright day at Iona beach where the tide reflected the sky like a giant mirror, and Argos and Brynne would not stop chasing each other 🐾💞

There’s something magical about post cards ✨🇯🇵💌🇨🇦✨
I was curious about how hand painted post cards would hold up in the mail… i’d say they made it in pretty good condition! I actually love the scuffs and marks they collected along the way, travelling half way around the world 🌏

Clover the scottie 🍀💕

Thank you to Stephanie for commissioning this piece 💗 Scotties usually come in black, but you would be amazed at how many different colours their coats can reflect in the warm summer sun.

A foggy morning in Tofino ☁️ We spent a few days camping by the beach, watching the waves and surfing! I was worried the water would be too cold but it ended up being fine - I was too busy getting splashed by the waves to notice the cold at all.

The first painting actually got rained on so I had to run back to camp and finish it by the fire. I think it actually gave the painting a nice misty feeling though 😊

Something about surfing in a full body super thick wet suit, booties, and a hood makes me laugh 😅🌊🏄‍♂️❄️
