Growing up, my brother and I spent endless hours rock collecting. Life moved on, but losing him brought me right back to where we started. Standing out here on the rocks with the sun breaking through the cliffs felt like a reminder that he’s still walking right alongside me. β˜€οΈπŸͺ¨ #GriefAndHealing #rocks #ClarityRidge #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth by @clarityridge
Some numbers the world needs to see. And one story I need to tell. πŸ–€ World Mental Health Day 2026. This year's theme is "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change." So here's mine. The facts first, because they matter: β€’ Over 1 billion people are living with a mental health condition. Anxiety and depression are the most common β€” and they're the second leading cause of long-term disability on Earth. (WHO, 2025) β€’ Over 727,000 people die by suicide every year. 1 in 100 deaths is suicide. In low- and middle-income countries, over 75% of people with mental disorders get no treatment at all. (WHO) β€’ In Canada, more than 5,600 people died of opioid-related causes last year. That's 15 people, every day. (Health Canada) β€’ In the US, nearly 70,000 people died of overdose in 2025 β€” and overdose is still the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18 to 44. (CDC) My Story: On June 18, 2025, I lost my little brother, Devon, to an accidental overdose. He was only 27. For nine years, Devon fought a grueling battle against mental illness, drug induced psychosis, and addiction but that battle was not who he was. Devon was happiest by the water with a fishing rod in hand, finding quiet when everything else was loud. He had an infectious warmth and could pull a smile out of anyone. What happened to him proves that this crisis doesn't discriminate, it can happen to anyone, and to any family. The grief and the day everything happened left me with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Therapy, EMDR, medication, and the woods put me back together; not all at once, not in a straight line, but piece by piece. One trail at a time. That's why Clarity Ridge exists. And why 10% of every purchase goes DIRECTLY to people and grassroots orgs , never big charities. The system failed my brother. I won't fund what failed him. Hey β€” I'm Tyler. The face behind Clarity Ridge. 🌲 I've been building this brand in my brother's memory, and I realized I've never properly introduced myself. So here I am. Clarity Ridge was born from the hardest chapter of my life. On June 18, 2025, I lost my little brother Devon β€” my only sibling β€” to an accidental overdose, after nearly a decade of him battling severe mental illness and addiction. He was 27. Grief broke me open. I was diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. And slowly, the trail started putting me back together. There's something about being out in the trees β€” phone away, boots on dirt β€” that gave me room to breathe when nothing else could. That's what Clarity Ridge is. Gear with purpose, built to remind you that strength doesn't come from what you can do β€” it comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't. 10% of everything we sell goes to mental health initiatives, because nobody should have to walk this road alone. If you're new here: welcome. This page is about resilience, nature, and honest talk about the hard stuff. I'm glad you found us. Tell me in the comments β€” where are you finding your peace today? πŸ–€ #ClarityRidge #RememberAndRise #MentalHealthAwareness #NatureHeals #GriefAndHealing #TrailTherapy #HikingNB #FindYourPeace by @clarityridge

The day my world went quiet. 🌲 FOUNDER STORY Β· CHAPTER 3 OF 8 June 18, 2025. My little brother Devon was gone β€” an accidental overdose, after nine years of fighting a mind that kept turning on him. I remember sitting at the edge of a trail that week, listening to the wind move through the pines, thinking: the world didn't stop. Only mine did. Grief felt like a forest with no trail. No map. No shortcuts. You just walk β€” and some days, the path finds you. That's what resilience actually looks like. Not being unbreakable. Just being willing to keep walking. Devon never got to see any of this. But I walk for both of us now. 🀍 Chapter 4 is the hardest one. It's coming. Send this to someone who's grieving β€” it might be the first thing today that makes them feel less alone. If you're in the dark right now: Canada 1-833-456-4566 Β· US call/text 988. #GriefAndHealing #MentalHealthAwareness #NatureHeals #GriefJourney #HealingThroughNature #HikingNB #MentalHealthMatters #RememberAndRise #ClarityRidge by @clarityridge

Peak colour is here β€” five quiet New Brunswick trails near Moncton for a reset walk. 🍁 One per slide, for the days your head needs the woods more than your phone does. Some evenings stay with you. 🌲 A July dusk in 2021, watched from inside the tent. A ridge fire in May of 2022. A riverbank fire, May 2023. Three summers. Three evenings. One lesson the trail keeps teaching me: Slow down. Breathe out. Tomorrow can wait. Tonight, just be here. πŸ–€ Healing isn't always a breakthrough. Sometimes it's sitting still long enough to hear the water again β€” whether you're navigating grief, anxiety, or just a loud mind. Save this for a night your thoughts won't switch off. And send it to someone who needs the reminder. πŸ‘‡ Want a trail-tested way to wind down tonight? Comment RESET and I'll send you our free 10-minute Evening Wind-Down guide. #MentalHealthAwareness #NatureHeals #TrailTherapy #GriefAndHealing #AnxietyRelief #HikingNB #Resilience #ClarityRidge #RememberAndRise by @clarityridge
Some evenings, I walk trails that remember my brother better than I do. 🌲 Devon loved the outdoors the way some people love home β€” fishing rods, cold mornings, the kind of quiet that doesn't ask anything of you. I can't bring him back to those places. So I go back for both of us. The trail doesn't fix grief. But it's the quietest anxiety relief I know β€” one footfall at a time. And the remembering gets softer out there: less like losing, more like carrying. If there's a place that holds someone you love β€” go. Take the walk. They're closer there than anywhere else. Send this to someone missing their person tonight. πŸ–€ P.S. β€” if tonight feels heavier than this post can hold: Canada 1-833-456-4566, US call or text 988. Reaching out is strength, not the opposite. by @clarityridge
