I’ve been keeping a little secret… 🤫💚
I’m so excited to finally announce that I’ll be representing County Offaly in the Ms Ireland Final as Ms Offaly! 💚🤍💛

A huge thank you to Jennie from @ireland_pageants for believing in me and giving me this incredible opportunity. ❤️

I’m so proud to be using this platform to campaign for equality in education — a cause that I’m incredibly passionate about. 📚❤️

Over the next few weeks, I’ll also be working closely with a charity that shares this vision, and I can’t wait to introduce you to them and tell you more about the amazing work they do. 💛

For now, I’d love to share a little bit about my own education journey and why this cause means so much to me. 🤍

My journey

Further Than You Think :)

Opening Doors. Unlocking Potential. Inspiring Futures.
This campaign is deeply personal to me.
In my Leaving Certificate year, I left school with fewer than 100 CAO points. At the time, I genuinely believed my future had already been decided.

Like many young people, I thought there was only one route to success, and because I hadn’t achieved the points, I believed I had failed.
Thankfully, I discovered Further Education.
That decision changed my life.

Over the following years, I continued my education, completing undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications. Today, I have the privilege of working as a full-time lecturer and coordinating a Bachelor of Business and Psychology degree programme in Dublin.
If I had believed my Leaving Certificate results defined me, I would never have discovered my potential. Continues under next slide x

That is why I created Further Than You Think.
My mission is to encourage young people, parents and adult learners to believe that there is more than one pathway to success. I want to champion Further Education, educational equality and the opportunities that exist for everyone, regardless of their background or exam results.
Because I know first-hand that dreams don’t end with a set of results.
Sometimes, they’re only just beginning.

Last night, a dream came true… I was crowned Ms Ireland 👑🇮🇪✨

My heart is so full. What an incredible experience, and most of all, what a beautiful sisterhood. 💕 I’m leaving this weekend with memories, friendships and moments that I will treasure forever.

A very special thank you to Jennie from Ireland Pageants for the kindness, warmth and support she showed throughout this entire journey. ⭐️ From the very beginning, she made every one of us feel like family, and that is something so special.

To our fabulous judges — thank you for your time, encouragement and professionalism. It was an honour to stand before such an inspiring panel. 🫶✨

When I began this journey as Ms Offaly, I wanted to share one message: Further Than You Think. 🌸

To remind people that where you begin does not determine where you can go. That there is more than one path to your dreams, and sometimes the road you never expected becomes the most beautiful one of all.

Now, as Ms Ireland, that message continues. 👑🇮🇪

This is only the beginning, and I would love for you to continue following my journey — the dresses, the events, the adventures, the causes close to my heart and everything that comes with this very special year.

As August comes to an end, I’m reflecting on some of the truly magical moments this month has brought. ✨🤍

I’m so grateful for everything I have, for the people around me, and for every opportunity that has come my way. Before I get up each day, I thank God for my life and for the privilege of being able to dream, grow and keep moving forward. 🙏

But with gratitude also comes perspective. There are so many people who don’t have the same opportunities or privileges, and I believe that when we are fortunate enough to have a platform, we should try to use it to give something back.

A huge thank you to @ireland_pageants for giving me the opportunity to represent Ms Offaly 2026 💚🤍💛 and to all of the wonderful media who took an interest in my story and my campaign, Further Than You Think.

The message behind it means so much to me: where you begin does not determine where you can go. Your results, your setbacks or the path you take do not define your potential. Sometimes, you can go much further than you ever imagined. 🎓✨

And now, I’m putting that same spirit into giving back. 🧸❤️

As part of my journey, I’m collecting new toys and donations for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. My Ms Offaly Toy Drive will take place:

⏰ 10am–12pm

If you can donate a new toy or make a contribution, no matter how small, it would mean so much. Together, I hope we can bring a little extra happiness to children and families who deserve some magic of their own. ❤️

She made the dress out of curtains. Then she won.
Her sister took €10,000 at Galway Ladies’ Day in a dress she didn’t own. Their youngest won a five-star weekend in a hat from a charity shop.

Three sisters from Portarlington, four of the most-watched style titles in the country, and almost nothing in any of the winning looks bought new.

Between them they’ve been judged by Mandy Maher, Marietta Doran, Emily O’Donnell, Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh and Arthur Gourounlian. Their answer to what judges are actually looking for isn’t what a first-time entrant would expect — and nobody said spend more.

And the sister with the most to say is the one who left school with fewer than 100 points.

For most children, Christmas is a time filled with excitement and anticipation — waking up early on Christmas morning, running downstairs in their pyjamas, seeing the presents under the tree, opening gifts from Santa, playing with new toys, watching Christmas movies, eating festive treats and being surrounded by the people they love. 🎅🏼🎁✨

But for some children, Christmas looks very different.

Instead of waking up at home surrounded by their family, they may be spending Christmas Day in a hospital bed. Instead of waiting for Santa to arrive at home, they may be facing treatments, procedures, uncertainty and long days away from the comforts and traditions they know. ❤️‍🩹

That’s why this appeal means so much.

I’m incredibly proud to be collecting new and unwrapped toys for the children spending time in Temple Street Children’s Hospital as part of the Children’s Health Foundation Christmas Toy Appeal. 🎁

A toy might seem like a small thing, but to a child in hospital, it can mean so much. It can bring excitement to an otherwise difficult day. It can provide comfort when they’re missing home. It can create a moment of distraction, laughter and pure childhood joy. And most importantly, it can help them feel remembered at a time when they may be wishing more than anything to be at home for Christmas. ❤️
