It’s that time of year again, and my word the years are flying by 😅 Today, September 1st, 26 years ago in 1993, saw the 7am debut of Nickelodeon UK! Every year I honour this day with great memories and affection, for it truly was an amazing time and a day which changed my life forever! Happy birthday @nickelodeonuk 🧡🧡🧡 by @classicnickelodeonuk

As many of you know, one of my favourite aspects of my Nickelodeon collection is curating the incredible line of early Mattel toys including playsets featuring Paint, Gak, Floam, Smud, and other really cool stuff. Along the way, I’ve managed to find some really rare treasures, including these fantastic 1992 catalogue prototypes with UPC codes and specifications that were sent to retailers, manufacturers and distributors (some of these never got made, different designs were used and others went straight through). Check out the artwork on some of these! I’ll be posting one every night until I get through them, so here’s the much-loved Gak Copier Playset! by @classicnickelodeonuk

@retrotoyenvy celebrated the 29th anniversary of the hallowed Nickelodeon Studios Florida with this limited edition 1/29 gold collectors pin, and for good measure, threw in some wonderful RTE goodies too! I’ve made no secret how special the pin makers are here on Instagram and Etsy, constantly channeling their inner kids to produce little dreams come true! Bootleg is an inadequate and unsuitable term to describe these, moreover, each one is a professional crafted homage! So thank you, to all those that keep these amazing retro pins going; I have quite a collection of these non-official pins, and will be showcasing them, along with the official ones later in the summer! Thank you again to my good friend and retro toy hero, @retrotoyenvy for allowing me to purchase this and sending this package so quickly. Life got in the way but I finally wanted to post this tonight! Can’t wait to see what you do next! Nickelodeon Press Photo from April 12, 1994!!! Another one for the wall of fame! These guys need no introduction but just in case you didn't know, we got Phil Moore @philmoore4u , the people's host, super-fun, always-encouraging game master presenter of the classic Nick Arcade and on the right, Mike O'Malley @therealmikeomalley the amped-up, psyched-up and ever-exciting host of the legendary Nickelodeon GUTS & Global GUTS!
