Massive thanks to @hughobrien.co, who somehow managed to get a clean photo of me in rooms that felt like tightly packed sardines, and to @roids_, who was behind the camera all night capturing the energy of it all. Looking back at these images, they perfectly reflect how the evening felt; exciting, slightly overwhelming, and over far too quickly.

Having my own gallery has been a dream of mine since I first entered the gallery world. To now have a space of our own on Oxford Street feels incredibly surreal. Working with @harryleckie . We’ve always joked that we’re the yin and yang of the partnership — bringing different strengths, perspectives and ideas to the table. It’s that balance that has shaped not only the gallery itself, but also the curatorial vision behind it.

One month before opening, 208 Oxford.. was little more than an idea. What followed was a whirlwind of renovations, installations, late nights and an incredible coming together of artists, collectors, friends and supporters who helped bring the space to life.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who backed the idea, helped carry furniture, patch walls, paint, hang works, pour champagne, spread the word, and most importantly, show up. To the artists who trusted us with our first exhibition, thank you.

We’re building a space that’s as much about conversation and curiosity as it is about collecting, so whether you’re a seasoned collector or stepping into a gallery for the very first time, we’d love to have you.

ARTCLUB’s 3rd annual exhibition has well & truely begun. It’s BOLD, it’s BEAUTIFUL, it’s BIZARRE ⏳.

This community is something incredibly special. Thank you to all the creative minds & dedicated hands that have made this happen.

The exhibition runs until Sunday @comberstreetstudios . Be sure to come say hi & explore the emerging talent in Sydney.

One of the most enjoyable parts of curating is finding connections between artists, sometimes through subject or story, but sometimes simply through a feeling.

Kate Hadley and Indi Swinton work with very different materials and processes, yet there is an emotional kinship between their works: warmth, nostalgia, comfort and a quiet longing for something more innocent.

Bringing their practices together seemed to amplify that feeling. Indi’s soft, hand-stitched canvases have this dreamlike quality, while Kate’s paintings return to childhood memories softened and blurred by time. Together, they enhance each other’s stories, sitting somewhere between sleep and waking, memory and imagination.

Before I Knew the Words came from that space. That strange moment where you can feel something deeply before you quite know how to name it.

Thirty felt like the right time to gather the people who have shaped my life and celebrate them just as much as the milestone itself.

Before the night, everyone was secretly assigned a tarot card.

It wasn’t a prediction of their future, but a reflection of who they are to me—the qualities they embody, the role they’ve played in my story, and the lessons they’ve unknowingly taught me.

Their readings were revealed together over dinner, one by one.

To host this celebration in our own gallery, Lowe & Leckie, made it all the more meaningful. A space built to celebrate art became a space to celebrate friendship, community and the people I love most.

Every detail of the evening was inspired by the Major Arcana—from a menu beautifully interpreted by Chef Lil, to a room filled with symbols, stories and conversations.

Thank you to every single person who helped bring this night to life, whether you cooked, carried tables, poured drinks, washed dishes, dressed up, or simply showed up with an open heart.

Watching everyone embrace the theme with so much creativity made it even more special than I’d imagined.

One month ago.. the concept of @loweleckie.gallery was just an idea..

Since then, we’ve completed a mini renovation, launched a gallery, and brought together an incredible group of artists for our inaugural exhibition, SURFACE TENSION & turned Lowe + Leckie into a reality.

To every artist who trusted us with their work, thank you. We are incredibly grateful to have opened our doors alongside such a talented group of creatives.

To everyone who joined us for opening night & came through the space to celebrate with us. The energy in the room was something we’ll never forget.

A special thank you to Ned and Raquel @mcintyre_merino , who helped us find our new home on Oxford Street. We wouldn’t be here without your support.

Thank you also to @champagnehaton for helping us celebrate the occasion in style. We were honoured to share our opening night with your beautiful champagne

And to everyone who acquired a work from the exhibition, congratulations. Thank you for backing both the artists and the vision of this gallery. We are excited to see these works find their place in your collections.

This is only the beginning. We look forward to sharing our upcoming exhibition program with you over the coming weeks.

What a night! Little preview of behind the pass for the collaboration w @saintpeterpaddo x @virgiliocentral that took place last month

Virgilio’s signature presentation of dishes accompanied by ingredients of their own ecosystems, reflecting the landscapes they came from, was met by Josh’s response of traditional Australian seafood, dry-ageing techniques accompanied by bold hot sauce and Peruvian-inspired flavours.

At the end of January, ARTCLUB opened our 2026 events with a night where food, art and connection unfolded course by course.

In collaboration with @chefblackjacket / @gaijin.omakase.club, guests shared a 12-plate Japanese-inspired menu featuring charred bonito, chawanmushi, eel ramen, braised short rib and a marshmallow wagon wheel finale.

Between courses, the room shifted from pencil still-life sketching to charcoal and pastel, with gentle seat-swapping encouraging new conversations and unexpected connections.
