I am excited to share some personal news with you. Earlier this year, I joined the board of the Lloyds Bank Foundation 😇

Since joining the organisation, it's clear to me that the leadership and every team member have an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of people across the UK. I'm really grateful to bring my skills and experience to help make an even bigger impact.

Many of you have been following my career journey for a while, so you'll understand what I truly mean when I say:

- Keep pushing yourself,
- Keep growing,
- Keep moving forward.

I'm looking forward to this new chapter and continuing to share my journey and the lessons I'm learning along the way with you all. taken in London, United Kingdom by @claud_williams_

Personal Announcement: I've joined the board of directors for the NHS trust of Camden and Islington.

For me personally, this has been a pretty big career step for me as I envision a big part of my future career being a member of various boards. Although I've held various voluntary board roles in the past, this is the first I'm doing it in a professional capacity as a Non-Executive Director (NED).

For those that don't know, this essentially means that I work with, support and hold the CEO, CFO and the rest of the executive team accountable to the operations, performance and future planning for the organisation. Meaning I'm responsible for the governance of 2,000+ members of staff, £150M+ in income across 30 sites covering a population of 600,000 people.

I chose this particular trust to work with for two main reasons. The first being its significant population of people with African and Caribbean Heritage. The second reason being the fact it is a mental health specialist organisation. I plan to bring my skills, insights and passions to the team to ensure both groups are supported properly in the years to come.

I'm still very much so getting settled into the role, however, it has been an honour to work with the team so far, who are already doing amazing things. I have a feeling this is going to be the first step towards something really important. A photo of new C&I NHS trust board member, Claud Williams taken in St Pancras Hospital by @claud_williams_

I’m hiring! Two roles on my team at Impact on Urban Health, and both close this week.

Portfolio Manager (maternity cover)

Closes Thursday 6 August.

Innovation Manager (maternity cover)
£53,000 to £56,000. Shape how we test, learn and improve.
Closes Wednesday 5 August.

Both roles are London based with flexible hybrid working, 27 days leave plus bank holidays, enhanced parental leave from day one, and a personal development budget. Applications are anonymised to reduce bias.

If that sounds like you, or someone you rate, the links are in my bio.

Given the volume, I’m afraid I won’t be able to respond to individual messages at this stage, but please do apply, and please share.

“We often overestimate what we can do in a year, and underestimate what we can do in 5.”

What’s that got to do with the photo?

Nothing, I’m just practicing for my future GQ cover shoot 😂

But more seriously: stay focused, stay patient and stay faithful. Things can and do change, just keep playing your part. I hope my life will continue to be an example of that.

You got this.

Shout out to @dami_oke, @amandaakokhiaphotography & @frostfades for creating the images from this shoot. It’s a blessing to work with so many talented people. taken in London, United Kingdom by @claud_williams_

Chapter 35 😇

Feels weird—after today, your boy will be closer to 40 than 30 😂

But I can’t lie, these last few years have been special. Slowly starting to see the years of hard work pay off and watching goals I set for myself over a decade ago begin to materialise.

I’m so grateful for everyone and everything I have, and I’m excited about all that’s on its way.

This year, I plan on stepping outside my comfort zone, experimenting with new things, and taking another massive step towards living the life I dreamed of.

If you’re reading this, I got love for you. Let’s build something special together. taken in London, United Kingdom by @claud_williams_
