Every child deserves a family, a place to belong, and the chance to dream again.
When we first met Baraka, he was alone in a displacement camp. He had already lost his parents because of the war, and no child should ever have to carry that kind of pain.
Today, Baraka’s story is changing.
He is no longer alone. He is surrounded by love, care, and hope as part of the Focus Congo family. His journey reminds us that even after unimaginable loss, a new beginning is possible when people choose compassion.
Join us as we celebrate Baraka’s new life and this beautiful new chapter. Together, we can help more children like Baraka find safety, healing, and a place to call home.
Happy birthday Baraka. ❤️

She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy. She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes.

Grateful to everyone who contributed to our chicken coop 🙏🏾 It’s already bearing fruit. This is the second time we’ve distributed chickens to every family in @focuscongo village. Love is winning. We continue restoring dignity, standing with our people, and changing the narrative. Congo’s freedom is coming. 🇨🇩

At Nyota Yetu, we’re not just providing education — we’re providing safety, healing, and hope.
Children in Congo have faced conflict, displacement, and uncertainty for far too long. Many have lost their homes, their sense of security, and the chance to simply be children.
Education gives them more than lessons — it gives them stability, confidence, and a future they can believe in.
And you are part of that future.
Your support helps open classroom doors, protect young minds, and remind every child that hope is still theirs to hold.
Thank you for standing with us, and with them. 💛✨

They are the reason we do what we do. 💙
Every “thank you,” every smile, every story of hope reminds us why we can’t give up. Together, we are saving lives. 🌍✨
We’re endlessly grateful for this beautiful community — for every person who stands with us, prays with us, and believes in a brighter future for the people of Congo. Your love and support truly make a difference. 🤍
Please take a minute to listen to these powerful words. Let them remind you that hope is alive — and that the people of Congo need us now more than ever. 🙏🇨🇩

Happiness Is Free ✨
In the heart of Congo, where war has taken so much, children still find reasons to smile.
Stones become games, bottles become balls — they play with what they have and create their own joy.
In their laughter, there’s a glimpse of freedom in the midst of war and silence.
They remind us that happiness doesn’t need much — only hope, courage, and heart. 💙💛❤️
