CLAUDE D’AVOINE

Claude d’Avoine is a London born creative specialising in Creative Direction for the luxury and arts sectors.

Starting his career designing Dazed & Confused, Claude has since worked on publications Varón, HERO Magazine, HEROINE Magazine and WIRED UK.

Claude held the position of Creative Director of Frieze where he oversaw the Creative Direction company wide. Including campaigns, fair graphics, all publications and special commissions.

He has worked on projects for Book Works; British Museum, Burberry, Dazed Studio, Dunhill, Graff, JW Anderson, M.A.P, Mulberry, Museum of Childhood and the V&A.

Alongside his professional practice, Claude has been a visiting lecturer at Middlesex University, UCA Epsom, University of Brighton, LCC, CSM and LCF. by @claudedav

after an eternity of faffing i’m finally launching objet d’a! @objet_da

a one stop shop for lovely things. sometimes silly, sometimes sexy, but hopefully always joyful and affordable.

the goal is to make art buying more accessible and less daunting. purchasing for the sheer joy, as opposed to it being solely for investment.

i really enjoy finding these things and i hope you enjoy looking at them and snapping them up for your homes.

thank you to everyone who has pushed me forward on getting this out in the world. no idea where it’ll go, but nice to turn my relentless passion for ridiculous things into something fun.

after four years i’m leaving my position as creative director of @friezeofficial 📚

thank you to the incredible @lorenzklingebielofficial without which none of this would be possible. and to @ameliebonhomme for the additional design support. i was incredibly lucky to work with such a brilliant and talented art department.
