🇵🇹A Língua que Não Se Esquece

Vim de um país pequeno que aprendeu a ser grande olhando para o mar.
Na escola deram-me Camões, e eu não sabia ainda que também eu partiria por mares nunca dantes navegados, não de caravela, mas de mala na mão.
Pessoa ensinou-me que se pode ser muitas e continuar inteira.
Fui enfermeira nas noites longas dos cuidados intensivos,
fui rosto diante da câmara, fui corpo em passerelle, fui sonho com nome de empresa.
Cada uma destas mulheres é heterónimo meu, e todas assinam com a mesma mão.
Eça mostrou-me Lisboa com ironia e ternura,
e eu aprendi a olhar Londres da mesma maneira:
sem me deslumbrar, sem me apagar.
Há uma saudade que não é tristeza.
É memória que trabalha.
É a avó que fala dentro de mim quando hesito,
é o português que me sobe à boca quando sinto demais para traduzir.
A língua não se esquece.
Mora debaixo da pele, como o sal mora no mar.
E o sonho também não.
Mudou de cidade, aprendeu outro idioma, vestiu-se de outra maneira,
mas continua a acordar comigo todas as manhãs
e a dizer, baixinho e sem pressa:
ainda não chegámos.
Mas já estamos a caminho.
