POSTS STORIES REELS

We love what we do but wanted to take some time to explain that our Blind Dates are a little more intentional than just wrapping up a random book.

We take a lot of time selecting the books we carry and most of the time they’re books that we’ve read and loved.

We do take feedback and recommendations from our customers so the books we haven’t read are well reviewed or recommended by customers or book reviewers we trust.

We wrap our Blind Dates by genre, which means you can skip some of the endless browsing and narrow down your options to the kind of story you’re actually in the mood for.

But honestly? It helps us too.

Having our books organized by genre makes it way easier for our ADHD brains to keep track of our inventory and know exactly what’s where. And yes... we know which books you’re getting.

So if you want to play along and try to guess your Blind Date, go for it. Tell us what you think it is and we’ll let you know if you’re right... or if you’re completely off.

Thanks for stopping by our booth, supporting our little bookish business, and letting us keep doing what we love.

Ps. This is a little throwback to last month’s event with @pinkdoorsocial. We had so much fun and loved meeting some new vendors and book lovers ❤️ by @clausbooknook

A quick explanation of my book rating system 📚

My ratings are based on a combination of writing quality, character development, pacing, emotional impact, and overall reading experience.

⭐ — painful to finish
⭐⭐ — had potential
⭐⭐⭐ — decent, enjoyed parts but of it
⭐⭐⭐⭐ — genuinely great, would recommend
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — obsessed. Thinking about it at 2am. Will never fully recover.

While every rating is subjective, I try to rate books based on both enjoyment and overall execution rather than hype alone.

What’s your personal rule for giving a book 5 stars? ⬇️ by @clausbooknook

These aren’t just books... they’ve fully taken over my brain 📚💛

The kind of romantasy where I get way too attached and randomly remember quotes at 2am like they personally happened to me. I’m living in these worlds rent-free at this point. The romance? Addictive. The tension? Unbearable.

If you love fantasy romance, enemies to lovers, morally grey characters, slow burn, vampires and dragons, magic, and book boyfriends... this is your sign to start these ✨

I will recommend these romantasy books forever and I’m not taking criticism.

Drop your favorite romantasy books so I can add more to my obsession 👇🏼 by @clausbooknook

Sometimes I have to stop and think… how is this my life?

A husband who is obsessed with me, two kids I absolutely adore, a business that I’m truly passionate about, and so many book friends that I’ve honestly lost count. 🥹📚

Don’t get me wrong—my life is far from perfect. Most days are chaotic, loud, and a little messy. But even in the chaos, I’m so thankful and grateful for the life I get to live.

Maybe happiness isn’t having a perfect life. Maybe it’s realizing how much you already have to be grateful for. 🤍

Here are MY 10 BEFORE THE END!!

Im only missing 13 books to meet my @goodreads reading goal this year so I’m very hopeful I will be able to get to these before the year ends.

I’ll be doing a buddy read with @amongthepaiges of We who will die but which one should I pick up after? And does anyone wants to do a buddy read of any of these with me? by @clausbooknook

Rating DARK ROMANCE BOOKS based on how spicy I think they were. Don’t be fooled by the lower ratings, that’s just the first book of the series. Trust me, they get way spicier than that 😉 by @clausbooknook

30 book recommendations to celebrate 3k 🥹

I’m honestly so incredibly amazed and grateful for all of the support I’ve received this month. When I started this account, I just wanted to create a little corner of the internet where I could share my love for books… and somehow it has turned into so much more.

I’ve already met some amazing new book besties, made connections with other creators and bookish businesses, and started planning some fun collaborations. More than anything, I love seeing this little community grow into a space where we can support, encourage, and hype each other up. 🥹

So, to celebrate reaching 3K, I put together 32 book recommendations featuring some of the best books I’ve read this year! 📖✨

As you probably know, I mostly read romance, so you’ll find some romantasy and dark romance among these recs.

And honestly… there were SO many more I wanted to include. 😂

Should I do 50 book recommendations when we hit 5K?! 👀

Save this post for your next reading slump, send it to your book bestie, and let me know which one you’re adding to your TBR! ❤️ by @clausbooknook

I’m honestly so incredibly grateful for the overwhelming amount of support I’ve received from Bookstagram over the past few days. 🥹📚

I created this account hoping to build a community of people who share my love for books, reading, and all things bookish… and I genuinely cannot believe how quickly that has started to become a reality.

I’ve received SO many DMs from smaller and newer Bookstagram accounts asking for advice, support, and ways to connect with other bookish creators. So I had an idea…

✨ I’m creating a space for bookish accounts to support each other. ✨

Over the next few days, I’ll be putting together a group where we can:
📚 Support each other’s content
🤍 Meet new book friends
📖 Discover new accounts and recommendations
✨ Encourage smaller/new Bookstagram creators
🤝 Find people to collaborate with

Because growing on Bookstagram doesn’t have to feel like you’re doing it alone.

Keep an eye on my stories and future posts because that’s where I’ll share all the details if you want to be part of it!

If you’re a small or new Bookstagram account looking for your people… this might be for you. 🫶 by @clausbooknook

My first ever weekend trip without my husband or kids… and I think we accidentally created the perfect girls’ weekend. 😂📚

My best friend/business partner and I decided to mix business with pleasure while traveling for a book fair, so we gave ourselves a little extra time, spent the night, and made the trip to Easley, SC to visit the Book Warehouse Outlet.

And honestly… saying the weekend was awesome is an understatement.

I got to mediate my first-ever author panel with NONE OTHER than Lauren Connolly and Lauren Evans! 🥹 I was an absolute nervous wreck going into it, but they made me feel so welcome and comfortable, and I ended up having the BEST time. I’m so incredibly thankful for the opportunity and for both of them making an experience I was so nervous about one that I would happily do again. 🤍

We also finally stopped by TROPE Bookshop, which I had been dying to visit. The store was absolutely amazing, and of course I couldn’t leave empty-handed… so naturally, I bought two books. 😂

Sunday was all about the Book Warehouse Outlet! This place is definitely an unconventional book-shopping experience, but it was SO much fun. They have a huge selection, although if you’re looking for a very specific title, this probably isn’t the place to go. We found some amazing books for ourselves AND our little ones, though!

And yes… we bought enough that there’s definitely a haul coming. 👀📚

Follow along because the book haul is coming soon! by @clausbooknook

🇪🇸SPAIN HAS SOME BEAUTIFUL SPECIAL EDITIONS🇪🇸

One of my favorite things about traveling is visiting bookstores and libraries all around the world. 📚🌎

I love seeing books I’ve read and loved translated into languages I could probably never understand. But honestly, the best (and most torturous) part is seeing how differently those same books are designed in other countries.

Some covers are completely different and feel like little pieces of art, while others have the exact same cover I’m used to seeing, making them instantly recognizable.

Swipe through to see what I mean! 👀

🌹THIS IS A COPY OF A COURT OF THORNS AND🌹

This is probably the most gorgeous ACOTAR book I have ever seen and I so jealous we don’t have it here in the US.

One that you’d probably recognize 😉 @authorelsiesilver I loved this entire series 5/5⭐️

This one is recognizable but the sprayed edges 😍

Another one that is the same cover as the US but can’t complain because this cover is beautiful.

I definitely wish we had this edition of Light Wielder 😍

If you haven’t read Perfect Storm by @carleyfortune , add it to your TBR ASAP because this book was also a 5/5⭐️ for me.

They had Daggermouth by @hm.wolfe and this book is the cause of so much trauma and emotional damage in my life so you already know what that means 6/5⭐️

Safe to say we can recognize this book as well 🥰

📚 Book recommendations from a bookstore owner @midnightchaptersbookshop !

These are some of the books I always recommend when a customer tells me they want to get back into reading, get out of a reading slump, or try a new genre.

I especially love recommending books that are short, fast-paced, and easy to get through—because sometimes you just need a book that grabs you from the beginning and reminds you why you love reading. 🤎

So if you’re looking for romantasy, contemporary romance, or dark romance recommendations, you’re in the right place. 👀📖

Have you read any of these? Or is there a book sitting on our shelves that you think everyone needs to read?

👇 Drop your recommendations in the comments! I’m always looking for more books to add to my list. by @clausbooknook
