Last year, my tutors invited me back to uni to mentor the 3rd years and help style the final graduate collections for the show. Somewhere in the chaos backstage, I discovered @goreckaj_ collection… and instantly became obsessed.

I knew I had to shoot it.

Julia’s world had this twisted circus energy to it — surreal, emotional, slightly unhinged in the best way — and I wanted to push that narrative further through my own creative direction. Creating strange little creatures, characters and moments that felt like they belonged in another dimension.

One of those shoots where everyone just got it. No egos, just magic, experimentation and a team going fully in.

I don’t think I ever uploaded these images here. They were taken a while ago, but somehow they never get old to me… maybe because they were captured by the master himself, the incredible image maker and genius photographer @gomezdevillaboa One of those memories that will stay in my mind forever.

The dress was made by me during uni. The project was based around the idea of a muse and, even if it sounds a bit weird, mine has always been revenge. Weird, innit? But not in a bitter way… more the revenge of proving people wrong. The ones that judged me, underestimated me or didn’t believe I could do it only gave me more strength to keep pushing, creating and never giving up.

The dress has a bit of Cruella energy too, which probably says a lot about me. The light and the dark, softness and chaos… the two sides of my brain constantly loving and fighting each other every day. Fashion has always been the place where those two worlds meet. taken in London, England by @clausvar11
