I’m sorry it’s a little late my love but it took a while to grow. This was us 39 years ago today (around closing time tonight) when we met & photo 2 was us on our 30th wedding anniversary, you’ve been gone nearly 2 1/2 years my sweets & it still hurts. So in my new job as a school caretaker I was taking a stroll around the early years & infant classrooms to see what jobs I have over the next 6 weeks & I find in almost every class these fellas and others just stuffed in boxes or just left on the floor. @lovedbefore_london 34 years ago today this fella came into our lives, it was the day after our wedding & we were at Southsea funfair in the arcades before my Ju had to go for dialysis and she saw him in the claw machine & said “can you win him for me as a small wedding gift’? I can’t remember how many £’s I spent trying to get him but time was running out & we had to go. So I found the security guard and asked if I could buy him (explaining that it was a gift for my new wife) and he just opened it up and gave it to me wishing me luck. The look on her face when I brought him to her was priceless. Yesterday was our 34th anniversary & today is Curlys 34th birthday. Today I visited a place we came to so many times & from memory it was always sunny, sometimes breezy but sunny. Today it was still, misty & murky & felt completely different to how it did. At one point I stopped, it was so quiet I can’t remember the last time I was so at peace. Not a sound, no wind, bird song, planes in the sky or the sound of distant road noise..nothing, then after a couple of minutes the sound of my blood whooshing in my left ear & then a cuckoo…this was the place we always came to hear them. A while further on I saw these old trees covered in moss & lichen all shrouded in the mist & I thought “If this is the place it all ends..if this is the place you finally come & take me home then what a beautiful place to die” 😢💔💔 #grief #love #cornwall #cheesering #nature taken in Minions village by @claybillclay
