🍭📚 NGL & DOMINICAN CENTER PRESENT: CANDYLAND & CAREER DAY! 📚🍭

Celebrating National Literacy Month!

This isn’t about scaring our kids and sending them home with candy and bad nightmares. ❤️

We’re creating a safe, fun, educational experience where our youth can enjoy candy, books, activities, careers, and positive role models!

🍭 CANDYLAND
A real-life Candyland experience with games, treats, activities, food and fun!

📚 THE TRICK IS THE BOOK!
We’re bringing Black authors on-site for a FREE mini book-fair experience! Our youth will get the opportunity to meet authors, hear their stories, and learn how they became authors and turned their ideas into books.

💼 CAREER DAY
Our young people will also meet positive role models and learn about different careers and opportunities for their future.

🎯 OUR GOAL:
Make literacy FUN.
Make learning EXCITING.
And show our youth that their story can become a book, a career, or a future they create themselves.

💜 WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

Your donation can help provide:
📚 Free books & mini book fairs
✍🏾 Author experiences
🎨 Youth activities
🍬 Candy & treats
🍽️ Food & refreshments
💼 Career experiences
🎉 A safe, positive community event

Every donation matters — $1, $5, $10, $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can give.

💰 DONATE • SPONSOR • SHARE

Help NGL & Dominican Center give our youth an experience they can learn from, grow from, and remember.

WE REALLY PUSHING UNITY. 🤝🏽💜💚💛

This ain’t about competition. This ain’t about tearing nobody down. We’re bringing people together. We’re building bridges, creating opportunities, and showing our youth what happens when the community comes together as ONE.

ALL THAT COMPETITION IS DEAD. 🚫
There’s enough room for everybody to shine. 🌟

NOBODY CAN DIM OUR LIGHT.
NOBODY CAN TEAR US DOWN.
THIS IS A MOVEMENT, NOT A MOMENT.
WE’RE HERE TO STAY. 👑

This is bigger than NGL.
THIS IS FOR THE HOOD. THIS IS FOR OUR YOUTH. THIS IS FOR OUR COMMUNITY. ✊🏽

UNITY OVER COMPETITION.
COMMUNITY OVER EGO.
TOGETHER WE LEAD. 🔥

🚨 NGL SHIRT ORDER DEADLINE 🚨

Just a reminder: NEXT TUESDAY is the LAST DAY I’ll be taking money for NGL shirts. 👕💜💛💚

I want to be transparent with everyone. At our last event, 20 NGL staff shirts were stolen. Those shirts cost money that could have gone toward our youth, programs, food, activities, and other resources.

Because of that, I cannot afford to continue giving out free shirts. I’m doing my best to keep NGL going and make sure our resources go where they are needed most.

PLEASE DO NOT COME UP TO ME AT THE EVENT ASKING ABOUT A SHIRT IF YOU DID NOT ORDER AND PAY FOR ONE. 🙏🏽

If you want a shirt, let me know and get your payment in by NEXT TUESDAY. After that, shirt orders will be closed.

I appreciate everybody who supports NGL and understands where I’m coming from. 💜💛💚
