I've been working on another sculpture. It's taken me about six weeks, a few hours every weekend at my local ceramics studio. I challenged myself to work on something big and exciting, like the human figure, following my other half's lead @faultoftheground.art who provided much needed critical feedback. This exercise has helped me tap into a creative past that had been shut away in a little dark room for far too long. For the first few weeks, I thought I would never shape it into a form I was happy with. But I pushed on, working with the clay and allowing myself to follow the material, going where it wanted me to go, until I started seeing something I liked, and after weeks of rigid persistence, this is the result.

This is a bit of a diversion from my usual work. It's pushed me out of my comfort zone but I'm glad I've stuck to it! Now being bisque fired...
