My beautiful grandmother Mary Alice Sanders went to her heavenly home this morning. She left behind a legacy that will live on in our family and the ones she loved. She celebrated her 90th birthday in March and was married for almost 71 years to my grandfather. If you look up the definition of selfless i think you would find its a picture of her. She put everyone before her and was the rock of our family. Sunday lunches after church that would rival the best chefs, desserts that you would talk about for days. She loved the Razorbacks, always had her sports section and played tennis well into her 80s. In 2018 at the age of 89 she received the Henry Doyle Outstanding Senior Award from the USTA. Her garden was always blooming year round and there was always weeding and watering to be done. Her faith was undeniable and she was a Sunday school teacher for many years at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She made sure I went to church camp and vacation bible school and when I was 20 i was baptized in their church. I think most of all I will miss her prayers, her encouraging notes that came in the mail at the times I needed them the most and her unconditional love for her family. Her legacy will live on and I'm so thankful for the time we had with her. I love you Garame. by @claytsanders
