You teach me the way of life. In your presence is total celebration. Beautiful things are always in your right hand.
Psalms 16:11 CEB

An important path of life we learn in life is praise. We know the importance of praising God. In fact, we do that every service in church

But there’s another path of life that’s scarcely taught or talked about in this generation and that is HONOUR, and it can affect everything in life.

This month of October, God is making that path known to us.

And now that you know it is a path of life, do you really want to miss it? I disagree.

I want to see you in church tomorrow. There’s a seat reserved for you.

Citizens of Light Church, No. 75B, Bye-Pass Junction, Opposite Access Bank PLC, Akure.

Time: 9:00am

For the Lord our God is with us, and the shout of a king is among us.

See you in church.

What a wonderful time we had today. For something to be learnt, it must be taught and oh, we were taught!

We learnt more about honor and we are better for it already.

Service was wonderful on this end. The evidence is the recap you’re currently watching.

How was church? Tell us what was the focal point of today’s message.

We received God’s word from his servant @bamidele_kenny

He taught us that our lives are embedded in relationships.

As long as we are on the earth, we cannot live outside of relationships.

Hence, we must understand the culture that sustains relationships.

He taught us that the culture that sustain relationship is honour.

Honour is a relational posture.

Where honour is absent, relationships become difficult to maintain.

Honour affects how you speak, how you listen, how you disagree, affects how you correct, how you receive, how you respond when you are disappointed, how you treat people when they have nothing to offer you.

He also taught us in the abberation of honour.

1️⃣ Honouring people based on what they can do for you, rather than honoring them because of the value or position God has given them.
2️⃣ Honour is not suppression
3️⃣ Honour turned into idolatry
4️⃣ Mixexpressed honour, expressing honour in a way that violates God’s word.

We continue at MDWK service.

CLC is a house of Freedom. And one of the characteristics of free people is the ability to express our joy.

And oh, we didn’t hold back. We danced, we sang, we rejoiced, evidenced by this video you’re watching.

Glory to God.

Well, well, guess what?

We started a new series this month, THE MYSTERY AND MASTERY OF HONOUR.

We’ve started learning about honor and we want you to be a partaker.

You didn’t see our invite for today Sunday? Don’t worry, you’re not late to the party. by @clc_akure

In English, we say:
“Happy Birthday to our Leader and our Father.”

In Mathematics, we say:
“Happy Birthday to the variable that finally stopped our search for X!”

In Biology, we say:
“You are our keystone species, and the hormone that keeps this DNA called Freedom functioning and growing.”

In Physics, we say:
“Thank you for being the vector that gives us direction and the photon that brings light to our journey.”

In Engineering, we say:
“Thank you for being our gyroscope, keeping us steady, and our column, giving strength and structure to our Christian faith.”

In Accounting, we say:
“You have been an invaluable asset, and the capital that has empowered our growth.”

In Law, we say:
“Thank you for being our fiduciary and guardian, entrusted with protecting and guiding what matters.”

In Architecture, we say:
“Thank you for being the grid, datum, and truss that gives structure, alignment, and strength to our Christian faith.”

But as a family, we don’t need all the big words.

We simply say:
Thank you for being the Dad that you are, and for building a home where we can grow, belong, and become.

HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYY, DADDY by @clc_akure

GLOBAL MIRACLE SERVICE

We worshipped
We prayed
We listened to the word
Assured again that God is still doing the impossible.

Apostle @muyiwaareo taught us the importance of believing the report of God above what life tells us.

Our minds can hold on more strongly to negative experiences, and the enemy’s lies can come through denial, fabrication, minimisation, exaggeration and omission.

But we have the Word of God as our standard and insurance against every lie.

What has God said? Believe it.
