Mental health Monday.

Question… has anyone just not felt like themselves recently? Some days are great but it seems that there’s more bad days than good days?

I don’t know if it’s the change in weather, even though I adore autumn and winter, whether it’s the darker nights, which again I absolutely love… I don’t know what it is but I can’t put my finger on it.

I know that I haven’t been looking after myself recently. Over the course of a year I dropped about 1.5 stone, it was slow going, but that suited me fine. And I was feeling great, no more aches and pains, but in a short amount of time I managed to whack a stone of that back on. Maybe it’s something to do with this and I need to prioritise myself abit more. Who knows!

All I know is that my mind hasn’t been right for awhile, not in a depression and my anxiety hasn’t been too bad, but just something within my head isn’t 100%.

Time to look after myself abit more and making sure I speak kindly to myself.

Come with me to clean the bathroom. I only wish I could Timelapse it in real life 🤣

Picked up this degreaser from @las3brujas.uk at @homelifeandyou the other weekend.

Ive never tried this one before so, I knew to give it a proper test I’d have to use it on my hob. It got all the grease, burnt on food and gunk off with ease, and left my hob sparkling!

Have you seen this new product from @liquiglove ?

These aren’t your standard washing up gloves. They have sponges on both gloves, and a little compartment to put your favourite washing up liquid.

These can be used for all sorts, not just the washing up. You can use down the woodwork, the sides, use it with your favourite products in the bathroom… honestly the list is endless.

Is this something that you would use? Let me know.

MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY

Can we talk about the clocks going back for a minute?

Because for some people, it’s cosy evenings, blankets and candles… and for others, it’s bloody hell, why is it dark already and why do I feel like I’ve done a full day when it’s only 4pm?

But honestly, the change in seasons can have a real impact on our mental health. The darker mornings, the evenings drawing in, the lack of daylight and that feeling of having absolutely no energy to do anything.

And if you’re already trying to keep your head above water, it can all feel a little bit harder.

Maybe you’re feeling more tired than usual. Maybe your motivation has disappeared. Maybe you’re finding yourself feeling a bit more emotional, overwhelmed or just not quite yourself.

And that doesn’t mean you’re failing.

We put so much pressure on ourselves to keep going, keep doing and keep everything together, even when we’re running on empty.

So maybe this is your reminder that it’s okay to slow down a little. To have an early night. To say no to plans. To get outside when you can and to ask for help when you need it.

You don’t have to be productive every single day. You don’t have to have it all together. And you certainly don’t have to pretend you’re okay when you’re not.

Sometimes, getting through the day is enough. And that’s progress too.

Let’s normalise giving ourselves a little more grace, especially when life feels that little bit heavier.

How are you finding the darker evenings? Do they affect your mood, or are you one of those people who absolutely loves this time of year?

Let’s have a good old chat.

Happy Mental Health Monday x

The guys at @theskullshed are a complete vibe! I honestly wish I could have a room that looked JUST like this.

So many incredible handmade cushions, as well as the nicest people. Loved spending time with them at @homelifeandyou

Really enjoyed meeting the team at @pjbinteriors over the weekend at @homelifeandyou

So many beautiful items, and I had so much fun making up my own bouquet of flowers. Now, if anyone really knows me, they know I suck at flower arranging! So I’m really pleased with how these turned out.. with a lot of encouragement from the sidelines!

Thank you @pjbinteriors
