A little skin update 🤍🧖🏻‍♀️

Right before I left for Europe, my skin had gone through another little breakout phase and wasn’t looking its best, so we decided to try my first spicule treatment @clear_complexion_facials.

Alongside that, I spent the next few months being really consistent with my @ocosmedics home care while travelling, and I was so happy with how my skin changed while I was away.

My current routine:
• Gentle Antioxidant Cleanser
• B3 Plus Serum
• Medi-Soothe
• Comfort Cream
• V8 Peptide Complex Sheet Mask whenever my skin needs a little extra love

I’ve just had my second spicule treatment since getting home, this time trying the 1 Million Spicules treatment, so I’m very curious to see where my skin goes from here.

I have a more in-depth video coming on what spicules actually are, what the treatment feels like, the downtime and how my skin responded afterwards. Stay tuned for that one 🤍

A little more context behind the before & after because good skin is very rarely the result of one appointment 🤍

When I first started going to @clear_complexion_facials , a lot of our focus was actually on rebuilding and supporting my skin barrier, getting my hydration back up and creating a routine that my skin could handle consistently.

Over time, we’ve been able to adjust my treatments as my skin has changed, which is probably one of the things I’ve appreciated most about having a team who actually knows my skin.

At my last appointment before I headed to europe for 2 months, my skin had flared up again, so we did my first spicule treatment before I left. Between that, staying consistent with my @ocosmedics home care while I was away and everything we’d already been working on, I came home with my skin looking the best it has in a very long time.

Naturally, one of my first appointments back was with the girls again, and we’ve just done my second spicule treatment.

If you’re currently looking for a new skin clinic in Adelaide, I can’t recommend these girls enough.

I could tell I was due for microneedling because I started to notice some texture, small breakouts around my T zone, redness and oiliness

I truly love it here. The girls know how to create a truly calming, relaxing space and allow you to just lay down and forget the world. Always a tailored, targeted skin analysis and treatment plan based on exactly what your skin needs. Skin changes all the time due to hormones, weather, seasons, lifestyle factors and it’s so nice to not have the guesswork with this.

Prep skin and drain stagnant lymph

We did red, blue, pink and yellow lights, I’ve talked about LED before and get so many questions about my LEDs at home- maybe I should do another post on this?

Spicy!!!!🌶️ each time I do it it’s less intense though. Maybe it’s because I know how much I love the results now? It feels so hot.

Super red but again- less redness with every treatment.

You need to avoid make up for 48 hours post microneedling because due to the risk of infection through make up/brushes- kind of like if your whole face were a wound.

These results were crazy ✨ I’ve realised how much stagnant lymph is an issue for me since I’ve started doing Brazilian lymphatic drainage and gua sha.

I struggle with feeling heavy, swollen, bloated, headachey, puffy- and didn’t realise all of those could be attributed to stagnant lymph.

This was up there with the best few hours of my life, truly felt like I was floating on a cloud, and the results were such an incredible bonus- snatched but in a good way and feeling so much less ‘heavy’ and fatigued.
