An eventful Saturday in District 2!

Stop #1: The Parkdale High School Panthers football team knows that Mental & Physical Wellness Matters! They served as ambassadors for the Wellness Matters event at their school. These guys brought the energy for Wellness, so I can imagine what they'll bring on the field. They made a fan out of me!

Stop #2: I was proud to join my colleagues at the District 22 Meet-n-Greet hosted by the amazing @senatoratw and Briana Urbina. It was a great opportunity to speak to community members about my vision for Education in Prince George's County.

Stop #3: We hit the streets of Riverdale to meet our neighbors and speak to them about my desire to bring a Father's perspective to the Board of Education.

The work doesn't stop there. As a Board Member, I will be present, reliable, and accountable to our communities. We are coming to a neighborhood near you. See you around District 2! by @cleggforpgcps

This past Thursday, we gathered for an incredible District 22 Meet & Greet hosted by Senator Alonzo Washington, with County Executive Aisha Braveboy and Comptroller Brooke Lierman in front of a packed house at Sunrise Cafe.

As the candidate for District 2 Board of Education, it was both humbling and energizing to connect with so many engaged residents from Greenbelt and beyond. Hearing your concerns, aspirations, and hopes for our schools reminded me why I’m in this race, to ensure that every student has the opportunities they deserve. Together, we’re building a brighter, stronger future for Prince George’s County. Let’s keep the momentum going! #CleggForPGCPS taken in Sunrise Caribbean Restaurant by @cleggforpgcps

I am deeply honored to be endorsed by Governor Wes Moore, a dynamic leader who has brought vision, energy, and real progress to the State of Maryland.

As a father raising my children in Prince George’s County Public Schools, I am ready to partner in the work of moving our schools forward. That means strengthening literacy and math outcomes, expanding early childhood learning, supporting our special education students and educators, building safe and supportive classrooms, and bringing the transparency and good governance our families deserve.

Together, we can keep pushing forward for every student, every family, and every school community in District 2.

I'm proud to have the endorsement of Greenbelt Mayor Emmett V. Jordan! 💚💛

As a proud Greenbelter and father of three PGCPS students, I believe leadership starts with showing up, listening, and being present for the families we serve. Greenbelt deserves strong representation on the Board of Education, and I'm committed to ensuring our families have a voice, our children have the resources they need, and our community gets the very best out of our public schools.

Thank you, Mayor Jordan, for your confidence and support! Together, we'll keep putting our children first and making sure Greenbelt's voice is heard!

After several days of knocking on doors across Greenbelt, the message is clear: you want a real conversation about our schools. So let's have one. Join me this Tuesday, October 13th at 7:00 PM at the New Deal Cafe for a Meet & Greet. Tuesday is open mic night, so we'll be out on the balcony with complimentary appetizers (while they last). We're excited to have a chance to talk about what's working, what's not, and where we go from here.

I'm grateful to be hosted by Councilwoman Danielle McKinney and Senator Alonzo Washington. Come share your education priorities with me. I would love to meet you. taken in The New Deal Cafe by @cleggforpgcps

Last night, I spoke before the Prince George’s County Board of Education about the transportation challenges our families have faced and the work still ahead. We have seen progress, but transportation cannot be treated as a beginning-of-the-school-year problem. We need reliable technology, accurate arrival information, properly trained staff, effective backup systems, and year-round planning.

Our parents have stepped up. Our school leaders have stepped up. Now it is time to build a transportation system that matches that commitment.

Because in Prince George’s County, well enough isn’t good enough. 💚💛 by @cleggforpgcps

What an incredible day at the Greenbelt Labor Day Parade! I was proud to walk alongside family, friends, and so many supporters as we brought our message directly to the community. We shook hundreds of hands, met voters, talked with fellow parents and residents, and made connections that reminded me exactly why I am running.

For me, leadership is not about walking and waving. It is about getting out there, listening, engaging, and meeting people where they are. Thank you, Greenbelt, for the warm welcome and the incredible energy. We are going to keep showing up, keep connecting, and keep moving forward together. 💚💛 by @cleggforpgcps

When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

It is important to show up, speak up, and advocate at meetings, but leadership also means rolling up your sleeves and being present when our families need help most. With the transportation challenges impacting PGCPS this first week, especially at my kids' school as we welcome another school community to campus, I knew I needed to be there and help however I could.

I am especially grateful to the parents who have selflessly volunteered their time, stepped into the gaps, and worked alongside staff to help keep our students safe and things moving. We will continue demanding accountability and long-term solutions, but in the meantime, we take care of one another. That is what community looks like, and that is the kind of hands-on leadership I will bring to the Board of Education. We’re all in this together! by @cleggforpgcps

As a PGCPS parent, I am deeply concerned about the transportation challenges so many families experienced on the first day of school. We have made progress in several areas, but our families still deserve reliable service, clear communication, and confidence that their children will get to school safely and on time.

Transportation is access to education. I am hopeful we can learn from what happened, address the issues quickly, and move forward together for our students. by @cleggforpgcps

Happy First Day of School to all of our PGCPS students and our outstanding educators! 📚⭐ To our students, believe in yourselves, work hard, dream big, and reach for the stars. You can do this, and your parents, teachers, and community are standing behind you every step of the way.

As a PGCPS parent raising my own children right here in Prince George’s County, I believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Here’s to a safe, successful, and inspiring school year for every student and educator across PGCPS! 💚💛 Because I’m Raising Mine Here! by @cleggforpgcps
