A mid-October garden bouquet I wish I could keep!

Featuring abelia, chocolate and white cosmos, the first stems of chrysanthemums, garden roses, Japanese anemone, jewels of opar, and zinnias. A hint of asters and calamintha. by @clementineincape

The candles are lit, dinner is served, and your favorite people are gathered around the table. Take a breath, have a bite, and enjoy the celebration you’ve planned.

“Princess autumn” is a new favorite way to think about fall in pastels, with hints of earthy tones and snowy neutrals.

Right now the white asters are blooming and buzzing with pollinators. The cosmos are butterflies dancing above the weeds. Heirloom chrysanthemums are whispering that they are on their way. And ‘Wildeve’ roses are as glorious as ever.

The autumn equinox can’t come soon enough 🕸️

Sometimes I wonder what @kittycoen and Andrew’s wedding would have looked like with seasonal stems in spooky season.

But honestly I love the way these moody mid-spring touches complemented their countryside celebration.

When the phone photo is good enough—love how this garden bouquet came together!

Pokeberry (keep out of reach of pets and little hands), native mistflower that’s popping up everywhere right now, and so many cosmos and zinnias! Plus a few other little pretties like celosia, hyssop, jewels of opar, flowering oregano and two perfect Wildeve roses.

Isn’t the love in a puff vine so dreamy?

Some of the celosia, cosmos and zinnias are from @greens_garden_center
