Clemmer Faculty Share Their Passion for Space!

Dr. Lori Meier and Professor Olivia Kuper share more than a department at Clemmer College—they are also NASA Solar System Ambassadors. Meier has served since 2018, while Kuper has been an ambassador for five years.

Both Meier and Kuper hope their shared role as Solar System Ambassadors will create opportunities for future collaboration, not only between the two of them, but also across Clemmer College. Through outreach, research and education, they hope to continue sharing their enthusiasm for space with ETSU students and the surrounding community. by @clemmercollegeetsu

For Tennessee students thinking about what comes next after high school, the first step toward college can be as simple as filling out an application. In September, that first step comes with no application fee at East Tennessee State University.

During the month of September, Tennessee residents interested in attending ETSU as a first-year or transfer student can apply for admission for fall 2027 without paying the standard $25 application fee. As part of TN College Application & Exploration Month, eligible students can use the code TNFreeApp27 when completing their application to have the fee waived.

Unraveling the Mystery: Observing and Understanding Children’s Peer Cultures

In a new Exchange Community Voices article, Early Childhood PhD Fellow, Ashley Shook and Dr. Jane Broderick take a closer look at what children are *actually* doing when they build play groups, decide who can join, and negotiate their roles. Rather than immediately stepping in when children exclude others or disagree, what might we discover by first asking: What’s happening here, and why?
