Your pipeline isn't empty.
It's leaking.

Basically, you're letting money slide right off the table.

You have leads coming in. Conversations happening. People saying "this sounds great."

And then nothing.

No reply. No call booked. No deal closed.

Fastest way to have someone not respond?

Sliding into DMs with what appears to be a lame joke is not a strategy.

Unless everyone tells you you’re the next Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Bill Burr, or Trevor Noah (insert your favourite comedian here), I suggest you don’t.

I had someone slide into my DMs asking if I was a robot. Perhaps suggesting my content was too AI.

Do I use AI to smooth out my writing? YES. I have dyslexia.
But, and this is a major BUT, the ideas and concepts are my own.

One thing I’ve learned in 20+ years of sales: opening with humour is hard to pull off. It’s best attempted after you’ve met someone and gauged their personality. Trust me, I’ve tried and failed too.

Even worse is using sarcasm and thinking someone is going to respond.
Nobody responds to that.

So know this. Come at me with crap humour, sarcasm, or rudeness, and I’ll invite you to the “block” party.

You didn't lose the deal on the call.

You lost it in the 4 days it took to follow up. The fix: record the call, be fully present, drop the transcript into AI after, and send a follow-up in the prospect's own words within an hour. AI doesn't build the relationship. It makes sure your inbox never kills one. $250M in career sales taught me this: lost deals are rarely about skill. They're about speed.
