World Mental Health Day was on the 10th of October, but the conversation around mental health shouldn't be limited to just one day.

At clickasnap, we believe community and creativity can play an important part in giving people space to simply be themselves.

Photography can be an escape, a reason to step outside, a way to quiet an anxious mind or simply something to focus on when everything else feels a little too loud. Sometimes picking up a camera encourages us to slow down and notice the world in front of us.

And much like the tide, things change. Difficult moments move, calmer ones return, and sometimes all we can do is give ourselves the space to move with them.

That's why we want clickasnap to be a place for everyone. A community where you can share your creativity through photography, connect with others and find inspiration in the way somebody else sees the world.

Because sometimes a photograph is more than just a photograph. It can be a moment of calm, a connection, or simply somewhere for your mind to go.

Share your world with us at clickasnap.com.

A little look at what’s been creeping into #halloweencomp26 so far...

From the eerie and atmospheric to the wonderfully weird, we’re loving seeing how differently everyone is interpreting Halloween through their lens. No two entries are quite the same, and that’s exactly what we wanted from this competition.

A few entries that caught our eye so far, in order:

1. Bonnietwor.
2. Two_ Photovoyagers
3. aubsprie
4. Sonyaa

And we’re only getting started. You’ve got the full 31 days of October to show us your take on spooky season, with $31 in prize money up for grabs.
Dark shadows, strange details, costumes, autumn nights, eerie edits or things that go bump in the night... however Halloween looks through your lens, we want to see it.

Upload your entry at clickasnap.com and add #halloweencomp26 to your image to enter.

Your photo could be the one we share next.

How close can you really get?

We photographed the same subject three times, changing the camera and pushing the zoom a little further with every shot.

3x on an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
10x on a Samsung S22.
30x on a Lumix TZ70.

What starts as a statue surrounded by the streets of Guernsey slowly becomes something completely different. The surroundings disappear, the frame tightens, and suddenly you’re noticing the texture, weathering and details in the bronze.

And that final 30x shot? It came from an older Lumix TZ70 that can now be picked up for less than $200!

A little reminder that you don’t need the latest or fanciest kit to create a great photograph. Sometimes an older camera, a little experimentation and knowing how to get the most from what you have is all you need.

Which of the three gets your vote?

A rainy day in Guernsey provided the perfect opportunity to play with black and white and also motion blur. Simple techniques that can turn an everyday scene into something much more atmospheric.

Play with light, movement and mood, just like our Martyn did here and see what you can capture.

We won’t give too much away just yet, but consider this a little glimpse of what we’ve been up to.

Watch this space. There’s more to come.

In the meantime, we want to see what you’ve been creating too.

There’s a kind of beauty in the ordinary.

Coffee going cold because the conversation was too good. Laughter from the other side of the table. Familiar faces in familiar places. The quiet comfort of simply being around people you love.

Nothing posed. Nothing planned. No perfect lighting or spectacular view.
Just little fragments of life, happening as they always do.

Maybe that’s what makes them worth photographing.

Because one day, the things that felt completely ordinary might be the very things we’d give anything to experience once more.

So photograph the coffee. The laughter. The people. The slightly blurry moments in between.
Not every photograph needs to be extraordinary to mean something.
Share your everyday moments at clickasnap.com.

A little Halloween inspiration from inside our very own clickasnap studio.

A sneak peek from a recent shoot by Aron Goubert Photography, with a striking model, moody lighting and a darker take on Halloween.

There’s something about this time of year that gives you an excuse to experiment a little more. Different light, darker concepts, unusual characters and ideas you might not shoot at any other time of year.

So with #halloweencomp26 underway, maybe this is your sign to try something different.

You’ve got the full 31 days of October and $31 up for grabs.
Upload your Halloween creation to clickasnap.com and add #halloweencomp26 to enter.

And just like that, the last day of September is here. 🍂

Somewhere between those last days of summer and the first hint of autumn, another month slipped quietly by.

Cooler mornings, earlier evenings and the first leaves beginning to turn , all while the last few blackberries remind us that summer wasn’t so long ago.

September didn’t need to be full of big moments. Sometimes it’s the smallest ones that, once captured, mean the most.

Don’t forget to share your September memories with us at clickasnap.com and join the community today.

Curtain call for #hiddendetailscomp...

The final moments of our Hidden Details competition are here.

One photograph can hold so much more than the first thing you see. The expression, the movement, the light, the people in the background. Sometimes the details tell just as much of the story as the subject itself.

Got one last shot for us?

Get your entry in before the curtain closes.

Upload to clickasnap.com using #hiddendetailscomp.
