WOW… What to say… @joshuatreemusicfestival is so damn good at curating a nonstop weekend of fun and insanity! Kid, friendly, super safe, unreal, diversified music. And some of the best humans I’ve ever had the privilege of spending time with. Just love it. Thanks to @barnett_english and the whole crew for all of their hard work!

Zack Smith (@whtrice210 ) is also returning to the Cliffhanger roster this season starting in November!!! The quiet crusher, Zack is the opposite of a spray lord!!! Last year Emil (@uuhhmeal) established a neat right exit variation to the classic Iron Resolution in Joshua Tree, California. Climbing the obvious rail to the highest point of the boulder is now dubbed Diamond Grit (V13).

Sabra sending the FA of “Save the M.Y.L.Fs”V2+

This is located in the Golden Trout Wilderness and is one of the last breeding locations of for the Mountain Yellow Legged Frogs. Her and crew work tirelessly to install Beaver Damn Analogs (BDAs). The goal is to bring the water table back up to historic norms. Sabra is a proper rockstar in this world.

Big boss man Sethro made a stupid rookie mistake! Yesterday in the park we were climbing with a family that included a three-year-old son. I was facilitating what is known in the industry as a “pick off” or in old-school phrasing “a clip and rip”. Effectively just helping the young Crusher come back down the climb as lowering can be challenging for little kids.… Moving too quickly as my ADHD brain likes to do, I dragged my knuckles across Joshua Tree’s infamously sharp quartz masonite. This will take a good week to 10 days to completely heal.

if I was smarter, I would be wearing belay gloves. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks.
