My ceramic pieces are on display at The Hoxton Portland, inside their Pamana restaurant on the main floor.

If you are in PDX, take a look in person. The display includes a mix of vessels, cups, bowls, and planters, all settled into a beautiful space alongside the art and warm details of the room. The pieces are available for purchase.

Thanks to The Hoxton for making space for clay in such a lively setting.

Somehow, this was the fourth clay piece I ever made. Circa 1995. There really was no turning back after this. I had developed an intense connection with clay. Please note: I removed the background with AI by @clifthouse

Downtown PDX, Today. This is my last Wednesday here, until September. I start teaching at Mt Hood CC Mondays and Wednesday for the remainder of the summer. I think there are few spaces if you are interested. by @clifthouse

There’s something deeply satisfying about creating pieces that quietly connect us back to nature. These porcelain garden forms were made to hold living air plants — small sculptural moments that bring softness, calm, and organic life into a space.

As I move into summer studio work, I’m feeling pulled toward creating more of these “Gardenworks” pieces alongside my functional pottery and vessels. Should I make more of them?
I’d love to hear where you could imagine one living — windowsill, garden room, meditation space, kitchen, office, patio?

Over the past several years, I’ve been immersed in making decorative vessels. As summer approaches, I’m returning to Clift House functional works—objects meant to be lived with, used, and to quietly connect us back to nature. This is in preparation of Clay Commons Ceramic Market
