The Robin Hood Foundation seems to have convened the largest constellation of billionaire donors and Epstein-connected billionaire board members that New York has ever seen.

These billionaires and this corporation are threatening our communities, our climate, our public schools, and our democracy.

JP Morgan and Robin Hood are planning to bring nine billionaires, the head of public policy at Meta, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to Soho on October 21—we will be there to confront them.

Members of New York Communities for Change, Climate Defenders and supporters demonstrate in the rain outside Anthropic’s SoHo office denouncing the IPO plan and the dangers of AI (also noted by Anthropic’s CEO.) These organizations continue to focus on the economic harm that Wall St and AI billionaires can cause to working people, citing job displacement and loss of pensions.

We see through the rhetoric of billionaire tech executives who profess concern while accelerating the very same risks. We cannot trust #AI corporations and their powerful backers to put the needs and safety of everyday people first. That is why we are calling on banks, institutional investors, and stewards of public funds to:

Former Governor of Washington Jay Inslee reflects on meeting a man whose home was destroyed in the Spokane fires this summer.

“I thought about his courage, and contrasted it by the rank cowardice of the executives of these oil companies — who sat there and took their millions of dollars home and now are too cowardly to accept responsibility for this.”

On Monday, October 5, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear Big Oil’s arguments to escape trial in one of the dozens of state and local lawsuits seeking to make fossil fuel companies pay for their decades of climate deception and the resulting local harms.
