I just wrapped up a vintage travel postcard illustration and design. This little section of it is one of my favorites. These characters are a colorized version of a 3-piece bronze statue in downtown Denison at the old Katy Railroad train depot. This is a vector line drawing done in Adobe Illustrator with added texture in Photoshop.

Today is a really sad day in the history of Denison, Texas as the last penis fell on the iconic downtown penis building that has stood for over one hundred years. In 1897 the Clymer-Hughes block (no relation) was erected at 110-120 South Rusk in downtown Denison. Recent work on the building resulted in the roof collapse and this morning's demolition. My introverted self tends to avoid gatherings but the opening reception for the Altered Realities show was tons of fun. It helps that there were lots of friends attending and showing their art. Plus having Lisa, my partner in crime, there with me is always fun. The roads are clear, the train wreck will lay there this evening and Music on Main has the first of two blues performers in a row - Ruthie Foster tonight and Marc Broussard next Friday. Silverada started life as Mije and the Moonpies playing long nights in Austin's honkytonks and dancehalls. They've recorded at Abbey Road Studios and performed at the Grand Ole Opry. Tonight they play Music on Main in downtown Denison Texas.
