“You feel like you’re called to ministry?”

Good.

But before you build something, learn how to sit with Someone.

Everyone who follows Jesus is called to serve, but not everyone is called to the same assignment.

And when it comes to following Jesus, it will require all of you.

I learned some of this the hard way.

I felt God moving in my life, and almost immediately I:

Founded a nonprofit.
Created a website.
Started posting so the whole world would know.
Tried to save everybody like Oprah giving away cars.

“You get freedom!”
“You get discipleship!”
“EVERYBODY GETS MINISTRY!”

Meanwhile, Jesus was teaching me something much deeper:

Before you try to do something FOR Jesus, learn how to be WITH Jesus.

Sit at His feet.

Learn His Word.

Learn His voice through His Word.

Let Him deal with your character when nobody is watching.

Let Him expose the motives behind why you want the platform, the title, the influence, or the ministry in the first place.

And find someone whose life you want to model.

Not just their preaching.

Look at their marriage.
Look at their children.
Look at their business.
Look at their leadership.
Look at their health.
Look at their private character.

Ask yourself:

Does their life echo Jesus?

Then get close enough to learn from them

Because gifting can get you into rooms that your character isn’t mature enough to remain in

Jesus spent years in obscurity before His public ministry

The disciples spent years walking with Jesus before they were sent

Formation comes before multiplication

So if you believe you’re called to ministry, don’t be in such a hurry to announce it

Be in a hurry to know Jesus

The ministry will come from the overflow

Intimacy before impact
Character before competency
Discipleship before platform

“And He appointed twelve, so that they would be with Him and that He could send them out to preach.”

Two months.

I know that doesn’t sound like a long time to some people, but when you’ve prayed for what God has done, every day feels like a gift.

@rigginputaringonit , thank you for the way you love me. Thank you for encouraging me when I’m carrying the weight of ministry, for praying with me, pointing me back to Jesus, and reminding me that our first ministry is our home.

The world sees beauty on the outside, but I’ve had the privilege of seeing your heart. Your kindness. Your compassion. Your faith. Your servant’s heart. The way you love people when no one is watching. That’s the beauty that never fades.

One of my greatest blessings has been raising Titus with you. Watching us lead him to know Jesus, pray together as a family, laugh together, and build a home centered on Christ has been one of the greatest honors of my life. We aren’t just raising a son—we’re praying to raise a man who loves God with all his heart.

Marriage has reminded me that God’s timing is always perfect. He knew exactly what I needed, and He brought you into my life at exactly the right moment.

Thank you for believing in me, standing beside me, speaking life into me, and choosing me every single day.

Happy 2-month anniversary, my beautiful wife. I love you more today than I did the day we said, “I do,” and I’m excited to keep building a life that glorifies Jesus together.

The Untold Story: A Testimony of His Grace

The countdown has begun. With only a few months left until the release of my book, my heart is full of anticipation to share the in-depth story of the God we serve—a story not driven by me, but wholly about Him.

This testimony is a reflection of His faithfulness, His mercy, and His love. It’s a journey through challenges, breakthroughs, and miracles that demonstrate His power and purpose in ways I never could have imagined.

Every page of this book is a witness to the truth that He is the Author of our lives. Every lesson is a reminder of His ability to transform brokenness into beauty, weakness into strength, and tests into testimonies.

I am deeply humbled that God chose to write this story upon my life, and now I have the privilege to share it with the world.

Stay tuned for updates as we draw closer to the release. I invite you to walk this journey with me, to discover the untold story of a God who is still writing miracles today.

This is not just my testimony—it is His glory. All of Him, none of me.

Let’s celebrate the God we serve together.

Book Release Date: Dec, 19th 2025 in Honor Of My Father Thomas Riggin ✝️❤️

Some people are so focused on your past that they can’t recognize what Jesus is doing in your life today.

They remember the addiction.
The mistakes.
The failures.
The person you used to be.

But Jesus sees someone worth pursuing.

Let’s wake up with Jesus!

Grab your Bibles and turn to Luke chapter 19, verse 7.

Luke 19:7 (NASB 1995)

“When they saw it, they all began to grumble, saying, ‘He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.’”

Now understand what’s happening here.

Jesus has just called Zaccheus, a chief tax collector, down from a tree and invited Himself into his home.

The crowd sees a sinner.

Jesus sees a man He came to save.

And here’s what I want you to understand this morning.

The crowd wanted to define Zaccheus by his reputation.

Jesus was about to transform his life.

Some of you are still allowing people who knew the old you to speak into who you’re becoming in Christ.

Stop giving their opinions authority over your identity.

The same Jesus who walked into Zaccheus’ house wants to transform your heart.

Don’t spend your life trying to prove you’ve changed.

Walk with Jesus and let the fruit speak for itself.

What if I told you that some of you are still trying to earn a peace with God that Jesus has already made possible?

You read more.
You pray harder.
You serve more.
You try to become a better Christian.

But you’re still living like God is disappointed in you.

Let’s wake up with Jesus!

Grab your Bibles and turn to Romans chapter 5, verses 1–2.

Romans 5:1–2 (NASB 1995)

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.”

Notice what Paul says.

HAVING BEEN JUSTIFIED.

Not working toward justification.

Not hoping one day you’ll be good enough.

Through faith in Jesus Christ, you’ve been declared righteous before God.

And because of that, you have PEACE with God.

Not because of your performance.

But because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross.

Some of you are exhausting yourselves trying to earn what can only be received by grace.

You don’t work FOR God’s acceptance. You stand in the grace you’ve received through Christ.

So here’s my question this morning.

Are you resting in the finished work of Jesus, or are you still trying to prove yourself worthy?

You can know everything about God and still live like you don’t need Him.

One of the most dangerous places you can be spiritually is when you become wise in your own eyes.

When you stop being teachable.
When you stop seeking counsel.
When you start trusting your own understanding more than the Lord.

Let’s wake up with Jesus

Grab your Bibles and turn to Proverbs chapter 3, verses 7 and 8.

Scripture — Proverbs 3:7–8 (NASB 1995)
“Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones.”

Notice the order.

Humility. Reverence. Repentance. Restoration.

Some of us are asking God for direction while refusing to surrender our own understanding.

We want His blessings but resist His correction.
We want His wisdom but won’t acknowledge our pride.

And here’s what I want you to examine today.

Are you actually being led by the Lord, or are you asking Him to approve the direction you’ve already chosen?

Because spiritual maturity isn’t measured by how much Scripture you know.

It’s revealed in how much of your life you’ve surrendered to Him.

Stop trying to be the wisest person in the room.
Be the most teachable person at the feet of Jesus.

What if God is asking you to go back to the very thing you’ve been running from?

The conversation.
The calling.
The obedience.

The person you need to forgive.

Let’s wake up with Jesus

Grab your Bibles and turn to Jonah chapter 3, verse 2.

Jonah 3:2 (NASB 1995)
“Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and proclaim to it the proclamation which I am going to tell you.”

Don’t miss this.

God already told Jonah to go in chapter 1.

But Jonah ran.

And after the storm, the fish, and three days in the depths, God speaks to Jonah again.

The assignment hadn’t changed. Jonah needed to.

Some of us keep asking God for new direction when we haven’t obeyed His last instruction.

And here’s what I love.

God didn’t give up on Jonah.

He gave him another opportunity to obey.

So here’s my question for you this morning.

What has God already told you to do that you’re still running from?

Stop running.
Start obeying.
And trust the One who called you.

The goal is UNITY, not CONFORMITY.

Not conformity to the image of your church.

Not conformity to the image of your pastor.

Not conformity to your favorite preacher, denomination, or Christian influencer.

It’s conformity to the image of CHRIST.

Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Somewhere along the way, we’ve confused unity in the body of Christ with everyone having to think, speak, and believe exactly like we do.

And when someone doesn’t?

We argue. We criticize. We divide.

Then call it standing for truth.

Don’t misunderstand me.

Biblical truth matters.

Sound doctrine matters.

But so does how we treat one another.

Titus 3:10 warns us about divisive people, yet I see Christians spending more time arguing on social media than actually discipling the people Jesus died for.

Here’s my question:

Are we trying to WIN ARGUMENTS or MAKE DISCIPLES?

Jesus never commissioned us to win debates behind a keyboard.

He told us to GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES.

Sit across the table from someone.

Open your Bible with them.

Walk alongside the person struggling with addiction.

Encourage the mother or father trying to lead their family.

Love the hurting.

Pour into the next generation.

We don’t compromise truth for unity, but we also don’t make ourselves the standard everyone else must follow.

The goal was never to make people look more like US.

The goal is to become more like JESUS.

And help others do the same.

There’s a much bigger calling on your life than winning an argument behind a keyboard.

GO MAKE DISCIPLES.

What if the very life you’re trying so hard to hold together is the life Jesus is asking you to surrender?

Your plans.
Your reputation.
Your career.
Your comfort.
Your finances.
Your future.

We tell Jesus, “Lord, You can have my life.”

But the moment He asks us to release something we’ve built our identity around, we start negotiating.

Many of us want Jesus as Savior without surrendering to His Lordship.

John 12:25 says:

“He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.”

There was a season of my life when I thought I had everything.

The business.
The money.
The physique.
The recognition.

My entire identity was wrapped up in things that could disappear overnight.

And eventually, they did.

Looking back, I realize something.

I spent years trying to build a life that only Jesus could give me.

And I wonder how many of us are doing the same thing today.

We pray for God to bless our plans, but have we surrendered them?

We ask Him to open doors, but are we willing to walk through the ones He opens?

We say we want His will, but what happens when His will costs us something?

Jesus never called us to a life of self-preservation.

He called us to deny ourselves, take up our cross DAILY, and follow Him (Luke 9:23).

Some of us have surrendered our past but are still holding tightly to our future.

Some of us have given Jesus our Sunday mornings but still want control over the rest of the week.

And some of us are so busy building something FOR Jesus that we’ve forgotten what it means to simply be WITH Jesus.

Here’s the question I want to leave you with today:

If everything you’ve built disappeared tomorrow, would Jesus still be enough?

Because the greatest reward of following Jesus isn’t what we accomplish for Him.

It’s being WITH Him.

If Jesus never gave you another assignment, would His presence still be enough?

Let’s wake up with Jesus!

Ephesians 1:17 reminds us that Paul’s prayer was for believers to grow in wisdom, revelation, and the knowledge of God.

Here’s something I’ve been examining in my own heart.

You can become so busy working FOR God that you stop walking WITH God.

There are mornings when I open my Bible and have to ask myself:

Am I here to hear from my Father, or am I looking for something to teach somebody else?

Am I praying because I want to be with Him, or because I need direction for ministry?

Am I pursuing His presence or my next assignment?

And maybe for you, it’s not ministry.

Maybe it’s your business, career, finances, family, or goals.

You’re asking God to bless everything you’re building, but when was the last time you stopped building long enough to simply sit with Him?

Here’s what I’m learning.

I don’t want to become so successful at doing things in the name of Jesus that I neglect my relationship with Jesus.

I don’t want my wife receiving what’s left of me after ministry.

I don’t want my son watching me teach thousands about Jesus while I neglect showing him the love of Jesus.

I don’t want to disciple men in Scripture while failing to reflect the character of Christ.

So here’s my question for you today.

What would change in your life if knowing Jesus became more important than accomplishing anything for Jesus?

Would your marriage look different?

Your parenting?

Your leadership?

Would you become more patient, loving, and forgiving?

Because growing in the knowledge of God should never leave us unchanged.

Don’t become so consumed with the calling that you neglect the One who called you.

Before the platform. Before the ministry. Before the next assignment.

Sit at the feet of Jesus.
