Two years since I held Mama’s hand as she left this world for a better one. October 13th will always be a hard day, but I’m feeling very grateful. We shared a love that was complicated but deeper than any I’ve ever known.

I want to thank my family for raising me on The Gospel Of Dolly Parton. I’ve never known a day where she wasn’t present in my house.

In the Grand Ole Opry with Papa, in Meme’s record player, in Daddy’s cassettes, in Christmas specials with Leslie. I happen to believe in Heaven, and I hope Dolly is giving my Mom the most beautiful hairdo you’ve ever seen!

Today is my 5th anniversary in Provincetown and I’m feeling all the feelings. It’s been 5 years of so much love, some heartaches, and a whole lotta oysters.

Here’s me last night, singing my favorite song with Brittany Rolfs, the first artist who gave me a chance.

Second Mother’s Day is strangely harder than the first. This is my favorite photo of us together. NYC, Freshman Year, 2001. Cheapest hotel I could find.
Mama absolutely hated big cities, but she insisted I follow my dreams. I took her and Leslie to see Reba in Annie Get Your Gun. We splurged at Blue Water Grill in Union Square. I bet that’s the only time my Mother splurged on a meal, and it felt so decadent!
The love is fierce, complicated and deeply strong. I am very blessed by the women in my life ❤️ by @clintbmorris
