Something you may not know about me is that I play an amateur sport at an elite and international level, but I didn’t even pick it up until my mid-20s!

I first touched a rugby ball around 23/24, and I made my @irishtagrugby debut at age 30. Fun fact; my jersey number is 29 because it’s the age I was first selected for Ireland, having been given the good news just before my birthday. 🎁

Since my debut with Mixed Senior, I’ve played ladies; first with the Senior Ladies, then I graduated to Masters. So I was quite surprised - and absolutely delighted! - to be called back in to a younger squad to head to Australia for the Tag Rugby World Cup.

Being on a squad where women can be up to 8 years younger than me means I have to work hard to make sure I’m fit and fast enough. I’ll be sharing some content about the process and prep for a WC and I’ll be vlogging the experience! 📹 It’ll be mixed in with my regular content so if it’s not for you, all good - but if you’re keen on visibility and supporting #womeninsport, follow along to see what it takes to be a parent, a content creator and an amateur international athlete.

If you’ve any questions you’d like answered about the sport or how to get involved, please ask away! Otherwise, please wish us luck against @gbmixedseniors in the British and Irish Cup… THIS WEEKEND! 😳 by @clisare

Course I jinxed it by even making these slides because I woke up today with a sore back and then the Fionn Monster got sent home from creche with a temperature so the next 48 hours’ worth of plans are basically out the window! That’s what I mean when I say you need a big dollop of luck (ongoing!)
