Some places just feel different. Alwoodley is one of them. 💚

There's something about Alwoodley that keeps people here. And once you've spent time in the community, it's easy to understand why.

Yes, it's known for its beautiful homes, leafy streets and green spaces. But for me, that's only part of the story.

The real difference is the people.

It's the friendly faces on the school run. The neighbours who stop for a chat. The local cafés where you're greeted with a smile. It's the little moments that make a place feel like home.

I've had the privilege of helping people begin new chapters here, and seeing families settle into a community that genuinely welcomes them is one of the best parts of what I do. Alwoodley isn’t just a postcode. It’s connection. It’s belonging. It’s home.

And I’m proud to represent it because this isn’t just where I work. It’s a community I’m part of.

It was great to catch up with new Lord Mayor Cllr Stephen Holroyd after his first #Leeds full council meeting - everyone was very well behaved as it was the same day as the #England #football game - 2 months in and all going well. #democracy #community by @cllrdan
