First Marathon in books ✅ 3 hours, 52 minutes ⏰

The first 16 miles were a breeze. Right on race pace to hit my 3:45 goal. And the last 10 really ate me up. Missed my target by 7 mins. In the later stages I felt like my legs were logs lol. Shoutout to @angelovalenc1a2 for picking me up the 2nd half of the race! My body stopped sweating at mile 20 and that’s when the cramping started. In the end, a lot learned, met some great people, and pushed myself when I had every opportunity to give in. Every few miles I would look at a text from @kaijbfit and it just reminds me how lucky I am to go out and lay it all out there! I’m proud of what when down today. Sub 4 for a first marathon with 45 days of prep ain’t too bad. I’m f-ing proud of me.

PS - Side quest also failed, nipples bled @ mile 16

🏁 Hyrox Washington, DC - Pro Solo 1:20:58 🏁

Happy to get my feet back in the game. Thankful for the blessing to get out there and put on this performance. Thank you @raceforimpact for granting me the opportunity by raising money for mental health. And thank you everyone who contributed to that cause!

First Pro Solo race and went out with a time goal of 1:10, knowing I haven’t even hit that in the open division. But with big goals come big failures. Note that failing is not the end, just another step needed to finally succeed and lessons learned here were needed. Back to the drawing board and gameplan for Tampa.
