THE SILVER KNIGHTS HAVE THEIR PLACE IN THE CONVERSATION. 🛡️🏀🔥

Summit Country Day checks in at #9 on Closeout Crew’s Cincinnati boys Program DNA countdown, covering 2006–2026.

The résumé starts with the 2012 state championship—but the story keeps going. Kevin Johnson helped bring home that trophy as a player, then returned to lead Summit to state semifinal appearances in 2025 and 2026. That’s coming back and giving the next generation something to chase. 🏆

Johnson, Antonio Woods and Sam Martin carried Summit’s name into college basketball. Michael Bradley, Ryan Fleming and Johnson each helped write chapters of the program’s coaching history.

This spotlight is for the players, coaches and fans who know what those blue-and-white jerseys represent. 🔵⚪

Swipe through the success, the coaches and the alumni. Does Summit belong higher than #9? Let’s hear it. 👇

THE ELKS’ RUN WAS BUILT FOR MARCH. 🖤💛

Centerville stormed through four straight Division I Final Fours from 2021–24, reached three state championship games and brought home the program’s first state title in 2021. The talent matched the moment: Gabe Cupps earned Ohio Mr. Basketball, Jonathan Powell became Division I Player of the Year, and Tom House and Rich Rolf helped power the title run.

Big games. Big names. A championship standard. Centerville checks in at #9 on the Closeout Crew Program DNA list.

🧬 PROGRAM DNA | NO. 10: WYOMING 🤠🏀
Cincinnati Region • 2006–2026

The Cowboys turned heartbreak into HISTORY. 🔥

After a double-overtime loss in the 2025 state semifinals, Wyoming came back and finished the job: a 26–2 season, a 73–48 championship win over Glenville, and the FIRST boys basketball state title in program history. 🏆

Back-to-back Final Fours. Four straight CHL titles from 2023–2026. A 55–1 league record during that stretch. That résumé speaks LOUD. 🔵⚪

From Tim Edmonds’ years building the program to Matt Rooks leading the championship breakthrough, Wyoming’s story runs deeper than one season. Ahmad Frost, Lonnie Grayson, Joey Edmonds, and Isaiah Walker carried that Cowboy pride into college basketball—and helped give the next generation something to chase.

Wyoming opens our Cincinnati countdown at No. 10. Where would YOU rank the Cowboys? 👀👇

You had to be there. 🏀🏆

Before the NBA, Jaxson Hayes and Miles “Deuce” McBride wore Moeller across their chests.

Hayes helped bring home the 2018 state title. A year later, McBride helped finish the job again—29–0, back-to-back championships, and a perfect ending.

Different paths. One Moeller tradition.

Who remembers watching this era? 👇

YOU HAD TO BE THERE. 🏀🏆🏆🏆

March 16, 2024. UD Arena. Purcell Marian put an exclamation point on the THREE-PEAT. 🔥

The Cavaliers never trailed, took down Laurel 79–52 and finished 29–1. Cincinnati basketball history, delivered on Ohio’s biggest stage.

Dee Alexander and Ky’Aira Miller dropped 18 apiece. Samaya Wilkins owned the glass with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Jayda Mosley kept the offense moving with 9 assists.

With Coach Jamar Mosley leading the way, this group turned championship expectations into championship memories.

2022. 2023. 2024. Three straight years cutting down the nets. ✂️🏆

Closeout Crew is bringing those moments back. Were you there—or watching when it happened? Drop your memories below. 👇

🔬🏀 PROGRAM DNA: NO. 10 — MARION LOCAL

Small school. Big-stage résumé. 🔵🟡

The Flyers open our Dayton region countdown with a 2018 state championship and back-to-back state runner-up finishes in 2025 and 2026. Three trips to the championship game during our 2006–2026 window—and a double-overtime title win their community will never forget. 🏆

Coach Kurt Goettemoeller connects those runs, while alumni Luke Knapke, Ryan Bruns, Nathan Bruns, Tyler Mescher and Austin Niekamp represent the talent that has come through the program.

Marion Local has earned its place in this basketball conversation. The banners tell part of the story. The players and coaches tell the rest.

Flyers fans, what’s your favorite Marion Local basketball memory? 👇
