Nanna Emily, 92 years young.

Cooking and preparing for her self run luncheon club at her church in Long Eaton, Nottingham. Members of the public are able to get hot food served for just £5 as well as free cake. Food is prepared by herself and a her friend Val every Wednesday for Thursday lunch time.

My grandma is a huge inspiration to not only myself but to so many that know her. Despite her age, I’ve never met someone so willing to serve her community and her family. Someone that’s door is constantly open for whoever may need it. Who is willing to stay up till 2am frying extra dumplings just in case more people show up. Who will give her last penny to help those in need yet is never in lack no matter the circumstance. My grandma built a great foundation for not only myself but so many people within her small community. I’m more than honoured to be a grandson to a woman as legendary as
Emily Rodney.

“For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.”

A Father and his Son

@niallerodney & Noa Josiah Rodney

The day I met my nephew.

Both my brother and I grew up without our fathers. It could feel like not knowing why a half of you was missing. There was always a desire within for that half to be made full. Fortunately, I can say on behalf of us both that we know our Father in Heaven adopted us into His sonship through Jesus and as such have been made whole again.

Through many trials and tribulations, incredible highs and sorrowful lows within our own relationship, I now have the privilege of witnessing my brother be the very thing we longed for growing up, all while doing it so wonderfully. I praise God for the mercy and kindness he has shown to get us to this point.

Watching Nialle and Noa was a gentle reminder of the beauty my relationship with God holds. They’re pictures of how I believe God looks upon all of His children and I can be grateful that they are my example of what a father & son relationship is supposed to look like. What it is to be cherished, nurtured, guided and protected.

“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.”

(SPEC AD, NOT OFFICIAL)

I’m excited to share this concept piece created for @umbro.

This short film tells a story about the perseverance it takes to become a leader on the pitch. The unseen hours, the quiet graft, the relentless work that no one applauds. All powered by the iconic Umbro Speciali.

Originally released in 1992, the Speciali was one of my favourite boots growing up. Being able to build a concept around such a legendary silhouette made this project especially meaningful and a lot of fun to bring to life.

Thank you to my brothers who helped bring this to life. Just the 4 of us on a cold wet day in Enfield. Absolute legends.
