We've been working a million miles an hour recently so don't have a long post about International Women's Day this year, but there's no way we were going to let it go by without marking the occasion. There are so many incredible women to celebrate in this industry, and we feel so blessed to have found our space in the community with them. Thanks for supporting these two women, even when we are too tired to write anything more profound about International Women's Day, womanhood and working in a male-dominated industry. Help people discover more awesome ladies in the industry by tagging them in the comments and let's uplift each other 💖 #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInBeer #BrewedByWomen #MaleDominatedIndustry #EqualityAndEquity by @closetbrewing

This won't come as a surprise to people but we want to make our stance clear. Fuck AI. AI "art" is only possible through the theft of works by real artists and designers. One of the best parts of the brewery is getting to work with the amazing artists who design our labels, and seeing the skill and stories they put into their work. Thank you to the wonderful @_lostastronaut who designed our anti-AI logo. There are SO many artists out there who want to collaborate. All you need to do is ask them. And if we can afford to pay them, you sure as hell can too. Lizzie and Lucy ✌️ #FuckAI #PayArtists #QueerArt #HumanMade #QueerOwned by @closetbrewing

Did you know we recently released a beer with The Portobello Bookshop? We're jumping on the trend to pair four of our recently launched (or relaunched) beers with some fantastic book recommendations, courtesy of their delightful booksellers! Recommended Books: - Greta and Valdin by Rebecca K Reilly - Looking Down At The Stars by Christina Riley - What Am I, A Deer by Polly Barton - Thirst by Marina Yuszczuk Can you work out why these books were paired with their respective beers? You may have to read them to find out! All four books are available to purchase at The Portobello Bookshop and all four beers are available to order on our webstore. #BeerPairing #BookRecommendations #DrinkGoodBeerWithGoodBooks #DrinkGoodBeerWithGoodPeople #QueerOwned by @closetbrewing

We've been so excited to share this collaboration with you!! To help celebrate their seventh birthday we teamed up with the fantastic folks at The Portobello Bookshop to bring you this gorgeous classic Helles lager. Look out for notes of freshly baked bread with a subtle, spicy hop profile. This is the PERFECT drink for curling up with a good book (or heading out to party afterwards). Please join us in raising a glass to this fantastic Edinburgh book-lovers haven 🍻 A huge thank you to Porty Books' very own @amos_o_ for creating the beautiful artwork for this beer 📖🐕 #ThePortobelloBookshop #DrinkGoodBeerWithGoodPeople #HellesLager #QueerOwned by @closetbrewing

🏖️ Beach Vibes 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Another wonderful and new-to-me beer I discovered at @cladachbeachhouse was called PIGEON ENGLISH ( 6.0 % ABV ) a new England style IPA from @closetbrewing full of tropical notes from the use of Azacca and Idaho 7 hops -- simply delicious P.S. The art for Pigeon English was designed by Freya Allan ( @freyaallanart ) a Scottish artist, turning her playful and vibrant observations from the world around her into illustrations... STAY HOPPY ✌️ #beerguide #beerguideworldwide #arran #cladachbeachhouse #closetbrewing by @closetbrewing

Meet one of the brilliant breweries who will be joining us on tap, @closetbrewing 🍻 Based in Edinburgh, Closet Brewing is a queer run, nano brewery run by Lucy and Lizzie and their dog, Bernie! They make quality vegan beers using unique flavours and innovative techniques, with queer community, local connections and having plenty of fun at the heart of everything they do. We’re so excited and can’t wait to pour their beer at Dorothy’s when we open 💙 Massive thanks to @realal.co for supplying us and making it super easy to get Closet on our taps! #closetbrewing #lesbianbar #dorothys #veganbeer #wlw by @closetbrewing

You might have noticed that we have a few beer names inspired by the titles or lyrics of some of our favourite songs. We figured it was time to bring them all together into the official Closet Brewing Beer Playlist. We're arranging them by genre but feel free to organise them by artist, title or if you're feeling really fancy, by beer style! Without further ado, may we present the Closet Brewing Beer Playlist: - Black Me Out, Against Me! - The Best Revenge, PUP - Live Outside, Enter Shikari - You, In Weird Cities, Jeff Rosenstock - Pretty, Don Broco - Skeleton Key, Oragami Angel - ***Hidden Track***, Prince Daddyb and the Hyena - Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl, Chappell Roan - Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly Fond of Each Other, Willie Nelson (although we are also partial to the 2024 recording featuring Orville Peck) #CraftBeer #QueerOwned #InspiredByMusic #BeerAndMusic by @closetbrewing
