What on earth have our literary dreamers been up to this summer? WELL: Bri has spent the summer eating ice cream with lots of sprinkles, diving into Lake Michigan & screenplay books (movie idea alert eee!), getting some fresh new tattoos, and seeing P!NK in concert (not to brag) 💞💓💘💋🌊 💋 Emma has been spending their summer bald. They’re rereading favorite books, outside with the besties, and revamping some old poems. They’re always daydreaming about a future with more poem-ing. 🌟 ❤️‍🔥 Liam’s summer has been: Lots of boxes. Closing. Opening them. Closing them again and ripping them and missing them and forgetting them and leaving them out to soak. 📦 Sam’s had an eventful summer! He started his own publishing and arts journalism press @ragingopossumpress where they interview artists and publish Chicago literary work from all around the city. On top of that, he’s traveled quite a bit, going to Italy for relaxation, adventuring, dreaming, and wine drinking. Then to Lyon, France where he spent his time bettering his French, walking, jumping in dance clubs, and talking leftist politics with French anti-fascist groups in the historic city of resistance. Finally, it was to Wisconsin for sleeping in the outdoors and swimming. 🏊 This summer Sazzy has been eating great food, taking photos, reading octavia butler, dipping toes in both oceans, and writing things down, with friends by their side <3 🧚‍♂️ (photo by Sam Tucker) This summer Sierra wrote and performed an adaptation of F*ggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions! She also released a book of poetry with Ghost City Press. You can find her at the lake. by @cloudcommunitycollege
Hot Poet Summer 🥵❤️‍🔥❣️ CCC was feeling the heat at the @ragingopossumpress reading on Monday night. Notable star ⭐️ Emma Younger ⭐️ read a collection of invigorating work with the sounds of blue line as a back up singer. They gave a sneak peak at an upcoming chapbook of poems surrounding doors as a poetic concept 🪞 Thanks Sam for hosting us. Shout out to @ragingopossumpress for providing the opportunity. We’re heating up poems to share. We’re missing Liam over in Colorado. We’re loving you 🫂 by @cloudcommunitycollege
WHOOOOO WROTE WHAT? Based on the title alone, can you guess which poem belongs to each CCC writer? by @cloudcommunitycollege
