[Eizaburo] Bugis

ramen lovers, SAVE THIS SPOT for your next ramen craving 🍜

This Japanese spot at Bugis is seriously worth checking out! Eizaburo is known for their kaisendon and mega don, but they’ve recently dropped a new ramen menu and of course, I had to give it a try (only available lunch time!)

🍜 Signature Tonkatsu Chicken Ramen ($18.80)
If you love creamy ramen, this one is for you! Made with a balanced pork and chicken-based broth, it was rich, savoury and so satisfying. Plus, you get a generous slab of chashu, seaweed and egg. SO GOOD.

🍜 Signature Chicken Dashi Shoyu Ramen ($18.80)
Personally, I really enjoyed this one too! The broth is lighter and less creamy, making it perfect if you prefer something a little less rich. It also comes with a generous slab of chashu and egg, and honestly, the flavour was just so good.

What I found interesting was how seriously they take their ramen. They even provide a little guide on how to enjoy it with the additional condiments on the side. I followed the guide halfway through my bowl and I WISH I HAD DONE IT SOONER. The flavours came together so well that I honestly wanted another bowl LOL.

We literally finished the broth and left our bowls clean. That’s how satisfying the meal was!

If ramen isn’t your thing, they have plenty of other options too, including their popular kaisendon and mega don. But after trying their new ramen menu, I’m definitely coming back for another bowl.

[Muted] Joo Chiat

save this aesthetic gelato spot in joo chiat 🍨🤎

been seeing muted gelato everywhere, so i finally made my way down to try it! honestly, the interior is so aesthetic and cozy, and the best part? they’re open until midnight, making it a great spot for dessert after dinner!

🍦 what we got:
• buttermilk waffle + hazelnut gelato $15
• lychee cold brew tea $8
• iced matcha latte $7

the highlight was definitely the gelato! we tried a few flavours before settling on hazelnut, and i’m already curious to try the others next time.

the buttermilk waffles were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making them the perfect pairing with the gelato 🤎 definitely recommend getting the waffles if you’re visiting!

as for the drinks, they were a little too sweet for my liking. the matcha also didn’t quite have the rich, authentic taste i was hoping for, so i’d probably skip it next time.

overall, i’d come back for the waffles and gelato, especially for a late-night dessert run!

stumbled upon this cozy little spot along Ann Siang the other day and had to share 🍸

@brooklynbarsg has such a chill, lowkey vibe. Honestly didn’t expect much from the food but their fish tacos completely blew me away 🌮 (plus the drinks were so good) the loaded fries were 💯

Watch the full reel to see what we ordered!

[Brooklyn Bar,Singapore]

save this hidden gem bar for your next dinner & drinks 👀 because the food here??? actually surprised me

Tried Brooklyn Bar in Ann Siang and lowkey… this place is such a cozy and intimate spot for dinner + drinks with that moody NYC/Brooklyn vibe. And honestly, the food was the highlight for me

🌮 Bushwick Baja Fish Tacos $21

These were NEXT LEVEL. I love how the melted cheese at the bottom of the tacos goes so well with the sauce, crispy fish and that squeeze of lime. Everything just comes together in one bite and it’s SO flavourful. I genuinely couldn’t stop eating them and you know that’s always a good sign 😂 I can totally see why the tacos are one of the dishes people rave about

🍟 Fully Loaded Fries $19

When they say loaded, they REALLY mean loaded 😭 Look at that whole bucket of fries?? The fries were crispy and topped with seasoned beef, lots of mayo, cheese sauce and all the good stuff. Definitely such a good sharing dish to have with your friends while drinking

🍹 Brooklyn Iced Tea $32

One of their crowd favourites! I thought this was going to be super strong but it was actually pretty subtle and refreshing. You can still taste the alcohol though, so it doesn’t feel like you’re just drinking juice HAHA Definitely an easy one to sip alongside the food

🍸 Lychee Martini $25

If you want something a little more girly and cute for the pics, get this one 👀 It was smooth and fruity but not overly sweet, which I really liked. It was also milder than the Brooklyn Iced Tea, so I’d recommend this if you don’t like your cocktails too strong.

Overall, such a good find!! I really enjoyed the food + drinks here and love that it feels like somewhere you can actually settle in for dinner before continuing your night around Ann Siang.

Definitely feels like an underrated spot that deserves more attention 🫶🏻 @brooklynbarsg

[Re Patisserie] JB

Save this for your next JB cafe run 🥐☕️

I finally checked out Re Patisserie and I can see why this place keeps popping up on my JB food list. I really liked how there’s more than just pretty pastries here, you can get individual cakes, bakes and drinks too, so it’s an easy spot to spend a little time trying a few things.

It’s worth a visit if you enjoy trying more unique flavours and beautifully made bakes. Their menu also changes seasonally, so there’s always something new to look out for. Everything looked so good and i definitely feel like i need to come back to try the ones i didn’t get this time!

My tip: go earlier if you want more choices because some of the popular desserts can sell out!

💰 Price guide:
🥐 Bakes from around RM9
🍰 Cakes / individual desserts around RM19–29
☕️ Drinks available too around RM12–18

[Unnie Korean Restaurant]

Found a hidden Korean gem in Yishun and honestly… why did I only discover this place now 😭🇰🇷

If you’re around Yishun, SAVE THIS because Unnie Korean Restaurant at Junction Nine is definitely one to check out. It’s a cosy neighbourhood spot, prices are nett with no GST + service charge, and apparently their army stew is one of the things people keep coming back for 👀

I came at 5.30pm for an early dinner and the place was already filling up, with the queue starting not long after. So if you’re planning to come, I’d say come earlier haha.

What we tried:

🍲 Army Stew $39.90
Perfect for 2 to 3 pax and there was SO much inside. I really liked that the broth wasn’t the thin, watery kind. It was thick, rich and packed with flavour, so every bite was just… shiok.

🧀 Steamed Egg with Cheese
SO GOOD. The egg was cooked perfectly and then you get that cheese pull?? Plus there’s cheese hidden inside which makes it even better. Honestly, hard to go wrong with this.

🍗 Boneless Half & Half Fried Chicken $24.90
We got spicy + soy garlic. Boneless is already a plus in my books 😂 It could’ve been a little crispier, but I think the sauce naturally softens it, so I can’t complain. The spicy flavour is also not actually that spicy btw hahaha.

🥞 Vegetable Pancake + Kimchi Pancake
Personally preferred the kimchi pancake because it was more flavourful and had more going on. Both were pretty solid though!

We genuinely devoured everything and walked out SO full 😂

[Fu Yan]

Had lunch at Fu Yan at Suntec! I always have trouble finding a good food spot at Suntec because there are just too many options, but this place is such a hidden gem. Plus, some of these dishes were actually so fun?

The Okinawa black sugar pork ribs $24.80 were crispy on the outside but still tender inside, with a nice sweet savoury flavour. You also get to crack open the rice crackers on top yourself which was such a cute touch 😂

The mala popcorn chicken $19.80 came with a fortune cookie inside, which I loved, but I was expecting more spice! It was pretty mild for me.

But the truffle fried rice $22.80… omg. The truffle flavour was strong but not overpowering, and the wok hei was sooo good. Easily my favourite dish and definitely one I’d order again.

We also got the three eggs spinach which was simple but super hearty.

Drinks-wise, I really liked the peach oolong kombucha. It was more fruity and sweet with just a little tea flavour, and the lychee mocktail was refreshing but a little too sweet for me.

Overall, lots of fun little details in the dishes and the fried rice is a must 🤌🏻

[Ramen Story]

Went back to Ramen Story, but this time I brought my friend along to try their new outlet 🤭

I first tried Ramen Story at Fortune Centre and really liked their ramen, so when I heard they opened a new outlet hidden inside DON DON DONKI at City Square Mall, I had to come back and try more of their menu.

🍜 Black Gold King Ramen $21.90
Still one of their must try dishes imo. It’s hearty and super flavourful, with quite a few different notes coming through. If you don’t mind something a little different from the usual ramen flavours, I think this one is pretty interesting.

🍛 Katsu Curry Rice $10.80
This is a new one for me and honestly quite decent for a katsu curry rice. The pork katsu was pretty generous and so was the portion of rice, so definitely quite filling.

🍱 Unagi Rice Set $16.90
Again, the unagi portion was HUGE and for the price, I think it’s quite worth getting if you’re an unagi person.

🍗 Chicken Karaage $5.80
Crispy and juicy, and a nice side to share with everything else.

🥟 Gyoza $4.20
Crispy on the outside and pretty decent as a side.

For drinks, we got the Coconut Cloud, Strawberry Matcha Latte and Iced Latte. The Coconut Cloud was definitely my favourite and a must try imo! 🤍

And if you’re planning to visit during their grand opening period, they’re having 40% off drinks with every ramen purchase!!

Personally, I still think their ramen is the star of the menu, but I’m glad they have rice options too because there’s actually quite a bit to try now.

[Yes Dessert Club]

A little dessert spot in Toa Payoh I’m glad I stumbled upon 🤍

Finally tried Yes! Dessert Club at Toa Payoh Hub and the mochi waffle was definitely the highlight for me.

🍨 Mochi Waffles with double scoops $16.40
Pistachio + Nutella gelato

The waffle was crispy on the outside with that nice chewy mochi texture in the middle. With two scoops of gelato on top, it was such a good combo and honestly pretty hard to stop eating 🤭

☕️ Black Vanilla Cloud $5.90
The coffee was actually pretty good! The cream is sweet but not overly sweet, and it pairs really nicely with the black coffee underneath.

Also got their Mango Sago Matcha $7.90, which has a really strong mango taste. The matcha itself was pretty decent too, especially if you like your drinks on the fruitier side.

They also have quite a few shaved ice options on the menu, which I didn’t get to try this time. Definitely saving those for my next visit!

#sgcafehopping #sgcafe #foodblogger #sgfoodblog #yesdessertclub

No GST + no service charge here too 🙌🏻

Overall, such a cute neighbourhood spot for when you’re craving something sweet after dinner. I’d definitely come back for the mochi waffles again 🫶🏻

[Haru Haru]

I finally tried HARU-HARU at Bras Basah and honestly, this was such a good find for mentaiko lovers.

It’s tucked inside Shifu Food Court and their menu is pretty simple but there’s quite a bit to choose from. I tried a few of their dishes:

🍛 Mentai Pork Katsu Curry $10.90
Crispy pork katsu with rice, curry and a generous drizzle of creamy mentaiko.

🐷 Mentai Pork Katsu Don $9.90
Crispy pork katsu over rice with their creamy mentaiko sauce. This was probably the one I kept going back to.

🐟 Mentai Salmon Katsu Don $11.90
Crispy salmon katsu with rice and mentaiko sauce, definitely a good option if you prefer salmon.

🍣 Mentai Salmon Sashimi Don $11.90
Fresh salmon sashimi over rice with that creamy mentaiko topping.

And I love that you can actually opt to change the mentaiko sauce to miso too, so there’s an option if mentaiko isn’t really your thing.

Dishes start from just $7.90, which makes this a pretty affordable spot when you’re craving Japanese food without spending too much.

[yogeek]

SG’s newest frozen Greek yoghurt spot 👀 and yes, I had to try it

Yogeek just opened and it’s basically DIY froyo but with Greek yoghurt, higher in protein and 4 flavours to choose from: OG, Biscoff, Mango and Coconut.

I tried the OG + Coconut and honestly loved how the yoghurt itself wasn’t too sweet. It had that nice tangy Greek yoghurt taste, so even with all the toppings, it still felt like a lighter dessert to me 🤍

The toppings were actually one of my favourite parts. They have a pretty balanced mix of fruits, nuts and granola, but also brownies, scoopable cookie, pistachio kunafa and sooo many drizzles.

Of course I had to try the pistachio kunafa 😂 It was niceee but not exactly mind-blowing for me. The dark chocolate drizzle + a little pinch of sea salt though?? SO GOOD. The sea salt really brought everything together.

One thing though… the yoghurt melts pretty fast, so you gotta eat it quick before it turns into a yoghurt bowl HAHA.

Mine came up to $10.74, with the yoghurt + toppings priced at $4.50 per 100g.

Would I go back? Definitely. Next round I’m trying that scoopable cookie

[Car Fei Dian] Johor Bahru

Car Fei Dian is definitely one of those JB spots that feels different from the usual café hopping 🚗

It’s a car themed café + automotive space in Taman Melodies, so there’s quite a bit to look at while you eat. A lot of the reviews mention the cosy ambience and unique concept, which I can see why people like it for a chill hangout.

Here’s what I tried:

🍗 Ayam Bakar Sambal Balado RM38
Personally, the highlight for me. The sambal + grilled chicken was the combo I’d actually come back for.

Ayam Gepuk Burger RM28
A local twist on a burger with ayam gepuk flavours. Definitely a different take on your usual café burger.

Pulled Beef Satay Tacos RM25
Pulled beef with satay inspired flavours in taco form. One of the more interesting combinations on the menu.

Berry’s Waffle RM18
Sweet and fruity, a nice one to share after the mains.

Strawberry Matcha RM18
A sweeter and fruitier take on matcha if you prefer something less bitter.

Iced Matcha Latte RM15
A more classic creamy matcha option.

The sambal + grilled chicken was definitely the one I’d come back for 🌶️

If you’re planning a JB trip, save this one for later
