August 2026 - August is typically my least favorite month but this one was better than the past few have been. Still way too hot though. by @clpks

June 2026, part 2/2. Finally made it back on the water in my kayak. I'm also convinced that I must be in the top 1% of people that have held wild birds, based on quantity and variety. by @clpks

June 2026 was more eventful than I remembered so here's part 1/2 for the June recap before I forget to post it again. Probably the biggest thing was that I took my first flight and now I'm a huge fan of air travel, even though the plane I flew in was rather small for my 6'5" size. by @clpks

Visited St. Paul's Cathedral while on a work trip to the Twin Cities area last month and never shared the pictures I took. It's quite a sight. Pictures are all unedited. by @clpks

The missing April 2026 recap post. IG deleted it at the last second because of some weird glitch with adding music to posts so this time I'm not risking it. May's recap post is on the way soon. by @clpks

The condition of this book is a perfect representation of how life has felt during the months that I've been reading it. I'm not the best about making time for reading anymore, which is something I'm actively aiming to improve. I've carried this book with me nearly everywhere every single day for at least the past eight months and read when I could but never consistently. Most of the time it just sat there keeping me company as a silent companion. Something I would more often pick up to thumb through the pages and smell than to actually read. There's something that feels poetic to me about this book journeying along with me and absorbing this level of wear in the process. Today I finally finished it though and not only am I proud of that but in the same poetic sense it feels symbolic. I have a smaller and unrelated book that I think I'll read next for its own level of symbolism but then I'll begin The Return of the King. I aim to have that concluded within a single month of time from beginning to end. That will certainly be an accomplishment comparatively and I'm looking forward to diving into it. Here's to hoping that no other book I ever carry with me will accumulate this level of wear during our time together. by @clpks
