Last week I got to work behind the scenes with my #BusinessBesties @keishaskreations @landrariliece_events on the Legends of Excellence - Distinguished Alumni Award Gala at PV.

Ever since I produced my birthday a few months ago…this world of event production has opened up a whole new stream of income for me.

For this particular event, I worked with the Special Events Coordinator to execute this event.

We designed and created
Social Media Kits for all 19 honorees
Wrote Invitation Packages to alert the Alumni
Created a 3 Week Social Media + Email Plan
Designed over 100 graphics including the Presentation Slides
And so much more.

So if you have been looking for me…I’ve been head down working. by @clstaples

Behind the scenes with our boy @kgsmooth getting ready for the @onevoyagecruise hosted by the HILARIOUS @rickeysmileyofficial @triwen_productions aka “SHORTY & I” are really looking forward to sharing my show “THE BLACK MAN” to everyone on board. Can’t wait to see u there!!!!

I can never abandon myself again.

Not for a man. Not for a job. Not for a mother, a friend, a client, or a title. Not to keep the peace, be liked, or be needed.

I have walked through every version of self-abandonment I know. I have settled for almost. I have shrunk to fit. I have performed my way through friendships, business, and love. I have fragmented myself into roles so many times that I forgot there was a woman underneath them all.

And every single time, the cost was the same: I disappeared a little more.

So here is what I know now.

If I am abandoning myself, I am overdue for a breakthrough.

The ache in my chest is not a sign that I am failing. It is a signal that I have stepped away from my own side. The exhaustion, the resentment, the whisper that says just one more time—those are not character flaws. They are my own spirit asking me to come home.

And I always can.
