A Persian song sets the light in motion inside Garden of Hope. Behind strips of coloured, textured glass, bright elements travel through three upright structures, giving an architectural form to rhythms associated with resistance and remembrance. Presented by @riveroshan at BOON_MONCEAU during @parisartweek 2026, the installation brings a collective memory into a room where its presence is felt through colour, movement and sound. by @clstudioinc

The student residence OASIS has the kind of exterior color that 2026, and beyond, needs. 🟩

In a sea of gray, colorless buildings, it’s quite a vibrant change and a bold step by @atelier_stephanefernandez. The L-shaped building sits on the Plaine du Var, the stretch of land between the city of Nice and the river.

The exterior shines in a single, monochromatic soft-green shade, enough to stop passersby in their tracks to admire it. The windows are made of opalescent recycled glass, uniformly sized and placed in rows of tall panels.

Inside, the student residence is post and beam, with drywall partitions, so the spaces can change their layout over time. All 200 student units are arranged along walkways.

A coworking space, study rooms, a gym, a café, a laundry, and rooftop community gardens sit within the building as shared rooms, and at ground level, a commercial frontage, a bicycle repair space, a literary café, and a courtyard open onto a garden of local plants. It’s more of a neighborhood and community than a residence full of students.

OASIS connects directly to Meridia Square and Mercantour Park through a pedestrian zone. There’s also one underground parking level that keeps the ground free for people and plants. May this radiant residence continue to pull modern buildings away from muted colors. by @clstudioinc

Inside the Hudson Valley Home of Worrell Yeung

ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST · AUGUST 24, 2026

Their 1,500-square-foot retreat sits on six wooded acres in Upstate New York. Wrapped in reflective corrugated aluminum, the exterior has an almost industrial anonymity, while the interiors introduce warmth through wood paneling, carefully selected vintage furniture, and an extraordinarily disciplined floor plan.

What makes the project especially interesting is its modular geometry: seven-foot cubes dictate the proportions of the architecture, windows, and even furnishings. The collection includes pieces by Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, and Gae Aulenti. by @clstudioinc

My personal collection of art and photography is provocative, sometimes confrontational, and unapologetically driven by instinct. I’m drawn to work that challenges convention, disrupts expectations, and occasionally makes people uncomfortable. That, to me, is part of its brilliance.

There’s also something wonderfully addictive about collecting. That extraordinary rush of dopamine when you acquire a work by an artist you’ve admired for years. The anticipation, the pursuit, the moment it becomes yours. It’s a high that never quite gets old.

But perhaps the greatest privilege has been the relationships I’ve been fortunate enough to build with artists. Getting to know the minds behind the work, understanding their processes, their eccentricities, and the worlds they create. Those relationships have become as meaningful to me as the works themselves.

I don’t collect for consensus or approval. I collect what moves me, challenges me, and occasionally unsettles me.

Not everything needs to be beautiful. Not everything needs an explanation. And certainly, not everything needs to be understood by everyone.

The Marella Armoire draws inspiration from the clean geometry and refined proportions of 1970s French modern furniture, reimagined through a distinctly California lens. Its exterior pairs pigmented oak with rich walnut, creating a bold interplay of color and natural wood grain. The pigmented finish allows the texture of the oak to remain visible beneath the color, while the walnut adds warmth and depth. Subtle scored detailing across the doors introduces rhythm and dimension, giving the expansive façade an architectural presence.
Behind its oversized doors, the armoire is thoughtfully organized with two spacious hanging sections and eight interior drawers, offering generous storage for clothing, linens, or household essentials. The concealed drawers are fitted with soft-close hardware, ensuring smooth, quiet operation. Tall, solid brass pulls emphasize the vertical proportions of the piece, adding a sculptural contrast against the wood surfaces.

Handcrafted in Los Angeles, California by a small and dedicated team, this armoire is made to order to ensure that every piece we build meets the unique needs and preferences of the customer. #perfection @crofthousela by @clstudioinc
